ok we lost it to BD too and that is a true reflection of our team, so no point of playing finals and losing again to india. shoaib saved us against Afghanistan otherwise we would have lost that game too.
this team is not too bad though. that is all we have. its not like we have bradman sitting on benches
it is a young team but as i said many many times, kick sarfraz out. he is an idiot who cannot lead plus he is not an automatic choice to the team. arthur is not strategic plus bad temperament and there is a reason why he has been kicked out of most of his coaching jobs. hafeez shd never be dropped for this series.
bottom line, our cricket is dying just like our hockey. maybe ehsan many fixes domestic cricket
Pakistani team got what it deserved. They were not competitive enough to make into final. Shame!
since last 15 months, i have said so many times on this very forum that najam sethi and board are destroying pakistani cricket by not arranging enough competitive cricket for the team. since CT last year in June 2017, Pakistan had nothing competitive on its calendar for next 15 months. Zimbabwe, hopeless lankans, WI, ireland that is all we had, but nothing competitive. when we made too much noise, PCB arranged a 2 test match series against england.
only other competitive games were 50-over over games against NZ and guess what, we lost 5-0. so why make noise now? when you dont play competitive cricket, then dont expect top results against top teams. najam only promoted PSL but PSL will not save you in test matches and 50 over games.
surprisingly, few informed guppies like ehsan bhai started getting upset with me when i pointed out how pathetic PCB and najam stehi are for not arranging any competitive cricket for 15 months. their criminal negligence was so obvious. and now we are paying the price
Pakistan has become a T20 team while Asia cup and the world cup will be 50 over ODIs. PSL won't help you with one days as it isn't providing you experience and stamina for playing ODIs.
Ehsan Mani actually should know a thing or two about cricket unlike Penti puncture Sethi but 2019 is right around the corner and unlike BCCI, PCB doesn't have money to throw around with the current situation of Pakistan. Pakistan has been slipping behind other teams in one days for years now and it shows in the rankings where Pakistan is number 1 only in T20s

our idiot captian asked him to play ‘aram se’ after getting out in first match. the idiot himself has been consistently getting out after aerial shots.
selections commite should bring fawad in place of sarfarz as fawad is not an opener. get some wicket keeper who can bat as well.
OK..after seeing the highlights of all the games, my 2 cents are that the future of Pakistani cricket seems dark. from what I saw, cricketers from india, afgahnistan and bangaldesh were far superior psychologically as well as from resiliency perspective. no matter what the situation was, their players believed in themselves and bounced back.
we on the other hand completely lacked confidence and were pathetic. and its not a new phenomenon. we have been going down for a very long time (such psychological, moral and resiliency downfall happens over a longer period of time).
2 main issues, we play very little competitive cricket and our domestic cricket is a complete disaster. we are now where WI is. some wins here and there but mostly pathetic. remember WI also won few titles here and there but they are a pathetic team.
we have a horrible skipper who looks and sounds retarded, plays average cricket and does not display a leadership personality who can motivate players. he screams and yells at players in the ground. kick him out, also change the coach who is an egoistic maniac (and i am saying this way before these defeats). fix your domestic cricket. put some competitive cricket on calendar. otherwise cricket will become just like hockey and it is impossible to get out of that hole once you are in there. just look at WI.
