There is no guarantee that Saqi was goign to be effective. I think its just brilliant batting from Symonds and some poor stuff from Afridi and Razzaq

he mustn't have had a good breakfast.

yar, abhi woh aye ga action me, he did provide a breakthrough when he was brought on earlier. Like Aamir Sohail said, he should have been brought a little earlier to go for the kill.

Actually he would have been more effective than not as Raja (I think) pointed out.
Reason is simple. Some of these Aussies haven't seen him all that much especially pinch hitters like Symonds and Hogg. Both of them could easily have been had by Saqi's doosra.
But, Waqar is being himself I guess. Good God how Was needs to be the captain regardless of the outcome of this match.
Well our decision to play second rate bowlers has basically cost us this match. The strike bowlers removed the cream of the Aussie batting, they were on the ropes but Afridi and Razaq have been clobbered by Symonds who's previous high score was against India. This monkey would never have survived if Akram and Shoaib had been bowling. What a sh*t decision to play Elahi instead of Saqy.
OUT!
Finally a run out.
run out
hez gone!!!
who's gone?
xtreme, I think he made a good decision. You never know until the match actually starts. He wanted to solidify the batting, as he had confidence in the bowling attack. Dont worry brother, we will do good!!! Its been a fighting effort from our team so far, lets hope they bat well, as batting is the only thing that worries me.

Yar spock it wasn't his kamal about that break through, the ball was miles wide and ponting played a bad shot, it was batsman fault nothing special from Shoaib.
