BRISBANE: Pakistan cricket authorities are considering canceling three home tests against Australia later this year and instead sending its team to Australia for the matches.
Australia’s planned August tour Pakistan is in doubt because of player safety concerns following recent unrest and bombings in the country.
Speaking in Karachi on Wednesday, Pakistan Cricket Board director Brig Munawar Rana said moving the tour to Australia was an option.
“We have given it serious consideration and it will be discussed with Australian officials in London,” Rana said. “We know the situation is difficult.”
The plan will be discussed at next week’s International Cricket Council executive meeting in London.
Pakistan captain Waqar Younis has said he would prefer the series was moved to a neutral venue – Morocco or Sharjah are possible options – if it wasn’t played in Pakistan.
Australia already is facing a hectic Southern Hemisphere summer, with a five-Test series against England and a triangular one-day tournament including Sri Lanka before the Australians head to South Africa in late January for their World Cup defense.

Now since PAK has beaten Aust. I am sure the Aussies will try to invite PAK again to Aust. to take revenge.
