Let's face it. Our batting is simply not good enough and way too erratic and inconsistent. Add to that our players' mental fragility and ability to self-destruct when seemingly set. We have been reduced to a 190-200 one-day team which simply won't do at international level. Had our batters applied themselves a bit more and posted decent totals of 260-270 consistently on these pitches, the result might have been different. This Aussie side is not unbeatable or special and can be put under pressure during run chase but not by hopeless totals of 200+/- . The 1-3 scoreline is more a reflection of our erratic and inconsistent batting than it is of the quality of Aussie bowling which is decent but nothing out of the ordinary.
And it goes without saying that we badly need both Yousuf and Razzaq
The bowlers can't really be faulted in this series. They have usu. kept it tight and restricted Australia to managebale totals.
I have said it many times before that Pakistan lose more one-day games because of batting than bowling failures and this series is a case in point.
Infact that holds true for most sides. In general wicket-taking bowlers win you test matches and batters win you one-dayers. There are obviously exceptions to this rule.

I hope pakistan schedules tons of series in neutral venues. i miss cricket. even if they loose some. its ok. so when is next series. was there a 20/20 between pak and ausies????

Correct me, PCB has announced that, ICL players can either pay fine or suspension for sometime to get back into the national team.. if true, then we might see Mohammad Yousad and Abdul Razzaq in Pakistani Squad which will not only provide strength to the middle order but add some value in the bowling line up...

It is only a matter of time before they will be allowed to play international games. Apparently only ICC can decide that..
“We have allowed them to play domestic cricket but only the ICC can decide on lifting the international cricket ban on the ICL players,” PCB chairman Ejaz Butt told a news conference on Wednesday.
“We are waiting as the ICC is holding talks with the ICL and Indian Board on the issue of granting recognition to the rebel league or find some other solution,” Butt added.
