Pak V SL - Third test

Re: Pak V SL - Third test

mashaALLAH 100 for Asad great innings under lots of pressure

Re: Pak V SL - Third test

128.4
Herath to Asad Shafiq, 1 run, there it is, a nudge to square leg from middle, even before he is halfway down the pitch for the run, he punches the air, takes the helmet off as he finishes the run, and as soon as he is done with the sajda, Misbah-ul-Haq stops applauding and calls his men back

Pakistan lead by 269 runs with 2 wickets remaining
Innings break - Day 5

Re: Pak V SL - Third test

so SL require 270 runs and Pakistan require 10 wickets in 71 overs to win this test

Asad Shafiq & Azhar Ali has proved their class. Real talented players and slap on the faces of those who always keep Asian Bradman (umar akmal) ahead of these very very talented players.

Re: Pak V SL - Third test

Sri Lanka need 270 to win from 71 overs. Pakistan have made 81 today in 24.4 overs, what a mature effort from Asad Shafiq, and what a heroic one from Adnan Akmal, batting through a lot of pain, and showing a lot of character

Re: Pak V SL - Third test

hats off to Azhar, Shafiq and Adnan. :jhanda:

Re: Pak V SL - Third test

They have about 20 minutes to face before the lunch intervalthis is very crucial . . .

Re: Pak V SL - Third test

If Abdul Rehman be there then it cleraly makes difference. If Gul failed to perform then along with Sami he should be out of the team.

Re: Pak V SL - Third test

0.1
Umar Gul to Paranavitana, no run, almost an outside edge first ball, Para goes after his first ball, widish and full, angled across, beaten

Re: Pak V SL - Third test

Pakistan 226 & 380/8d
Sri Lanka 337 & 27/0 (5.0 ov)
Sri Lanka require another 243 runs with 10 wickets remaining
Lunch - Day 5

Re: Pak V SL - Third test

Gul three overs for 19 runs. Idiot.

Re: Pak V SL - Third test

match draw. rehman going missing

Re: Pak V SL - Third test

That is the end of that. The teams have decided to call it off, and Sri Lanka have their first Test series win since August 2009

Re: Pak V SL - Third test

Pakistan 226 & 380/8d
Sri Lanka 337 & 195/4 (62.0 ov)
Match drawn

Really poor effort by SL
. . .

Re: Pak V SL - Third test

SL played safe enough to get first series win

Re: Pak V SL - Third test

That is the end of that. The teams have decided to call it off, and Sri Lanka have their first Test series win since August 2009. They went without a win for eight series since beating New Zealand 2-0 at home. And for Pakistan, it is their first series loss since going down 1-3 to England in July 2010. So their unbeaten run has lasted seven series

  • Kavindi: "I wasn't even this disappointed when we lost to SA last year. Absolute rubbish!!!" Lots of Sri Lanka fans writing in with similar sentiments after their decision not to go for the runs, they completely bottled up after tea *

Re: Pak V SL - Third test

they can win the match after very good start but . . .

Re: Pak V SL - Third test

Glad that Pakistan have given a good account of themselves in the 2nd (we had the upperhand) and 3rd tests (fought back hard on days 4 & 5). Do not count the first test defeat as a major disappointment because the vast majority of poor umpiring decisions went against us

Well-played Azhar, Asad and Adnan (batted well today despite a fractured finger)

Lanka should have gone for the target. They somehow messed up after tea

Re: Pak V SL - Third test

surprising awards max no. of sixes and fastest fifty ??
it is a test match not T20 or ODI isnt it

Re: Pak V SL - Third test

Little bit disappointed from the awards, they jury has to be fair here, the man of the series award should go to Steve Davis for most wickets in this series...
