Pak V SL - Third Test Match

Re: Pak V SL - Third Test Match

**Y we keep on whining about “World is not giving us due respect” :konfused:
**

It is not whining it is about fair and sensible reporting. Let’s forget about Pakistan for a while. How are some of the top stories in particular ones attributed to England players, IPL and Koertzen even news. I am just trying to put some sense into all this

One top story today for instance was

‘England can overcome injuries’…

Next they will have

‘I am constipated’ Pietersen

:hehe:

I agree - it’s high time we accept that cricinfo is a site that is managed and operated primarily by Indian media outlets who may indeed be biased towards reporting on Pakistan. Every organization has an innate implicit culture, and this happens to be the one for cricinfo. The fact remains though, that they’re the most prominent and otherwise reliable source of information on anything cricket related, and there are various aspects that make it a frequented source even for Pakistanis. So until we find a just as good source of information, we ought to stop our barrage of gripes with the service - it’s really futile.

cuz ashes has history ......... n cricinfo is cashing it ........
I m sure same amount of coverage will be given to New zealand vs West Indies ... if its happening at the same time of Ashes ........

well that doesnt mean you relegate other news where it cant be read. If Ashes was that important why was WI team news on the headlines with the ashes while the test match news was relegated. It is the Banglore syndrome.

Read posts 103 and 116

Noone is complaining about cricinfo giving undue importance to the Ashes. It is their choice

Re: Pak V SL - Third Test Match

Great work from Pak today..
highlights anyone?

Brief Highlights Day3

Re: Pak V SL - Third Test Match

Shukriya GA..
Magar yaar is main tau poori innings naheen heay..
Malik ka sau dekhna heay...

Thanks anyway... :K

^ I will post it if I find it

Although Pakistan's batters let us down at crucial moments in the first two tests, interestingly

  • 3 Pakistani batsmen (Yousuf, Fawad Alam & Shoaib Malik) have scored hundreds in this series
  • None of Sri Lankan batsmen has a hundred so far
  • Sri Lanka has not topped 300 in any innings in this series so far whereas Pakistan has topped 300 thrice in the series - 342 (1st test), 320 (2nd test) and 300/5* (3rd test)

Though Misbah played well today he again got out playing well away from his body and snicking to the keeper

Re: Pak V SL - Third Test Match

Thanks GA

Re: Pak V SL - Third Test Match

Srilankan beauties will thick pack the stadium ........................... I should have been there :(

Re: Pak V SL - Third Test Match

Malik indicated that Pak is eying a target of 450ish... now that's a gross overkill !! and the match will head to a draw at best.

IMHO, they should just bat relatively aggressively this morning and whatever they get, they should be satisfied with and they should put in SL to bat after lunch.

Re: Pak V SL - Third Test Match

I think Pak should send S.L for batting immediately. The more they wait, the more they will sail away from a victory.Or Pak should score fast, add another 100 Runs and then call it....

Re: Pak V SL - Third Test Match

329/6 Lead of 395 Runs

Whats so bad about it? Pakistan had a lead of 366 end of day 3, if they are looking to add another 84 (total lead of 450) that should be possible around or before lunch on day 4.

Re: Pak V SL - Third Test Match

400 lead comes up :k:

well see, I personally think lunch might even be a little late to put SL in... they should do so sooner.

Let's see.

Declaring at lunch means 5 sessions to chase 450, not bad.
