those who followed T20 matches closely can tell that Malik's body language was very strange. It was obvious that he was not giving his 100% percent intentionally or unintentionally.
Possibly he is dejected or discouraged. But I dont think he could afford to flame factionalism in the team. What would he do being out of Pakistan team? Pakistan can ill afford to have a team fighting among each other for their ego.He should be really insane to think about dividing the team.
Except that this time while Inzi and Sarfraz (don't give 2 cents about his views) are largely assuming things, Qadir is specifically accusing Shoaib Malik on the basis of what he saw in UAE 2 months ago and unless Malik breaks his silence and comes clean on the issue (I know he maybe bound by his contract), I have no reason to assume that Qadir is lying
And while fractionalism may not be the main reason for the team's recent inexplicable collapses, it cannot be completely ruled out either
Exactly.

He was the captain before Younis, so he might be looking for another tenure, who knows.

I agree, maybe he is out of form or dejected but lets not forget the support he provided to Afridi in the final of 20/20. So I for one dont believe these conspiracy theories.
:) Late ho gayay Captain1. We should have done that icon during the first test or the second. Now we should wait for the third test, and then the ODI series. The champions trophy is just after that...... as we say in Punjabi "gal fer tay pay gayee ay".
What can I do if players like Shoaib Malik and Misbah-ul-Haq are failing regularly - Younus Khan
KARACHI: Pakistan captain Younus Khan is aghast with the way several former cricketers have criticized him after losing two consecutive Test matches against Sri Lanka, and blamed poor team spirit for the humiliating defeats.
In an interview with a private television channel on Thursday, a visibly upset Younus said he should not be blamed for the below par performance of senior players. He said it was upto the country’s cricket authorities to decide whether these senior players should be axed from the team.
‘I just inherited these players. I mean what can I do if players like Shoaib Malik and Misbah-ul-Haq are failing regularly.’ ‘If I just throw them out of the team, the whole of Pakistan will blame me for running the show on my whim and fancy. It is up to the authorities to decide what should be done about it,’ he said.—Agencies http://www.dawn.com/wps/wcm/connect/dawn-content-library/dawn/news/cricket/12-i+should+not+be+blamed+for+defeat+younus–bi-03

Ehsan bhai bhai you have your own opinion and you could very well be right. Often we have these conspiracy theories whenever we lose. I have never believed such theories.
The only reason I smell something fishy this time is because I noticed Malik's body language even before the emergence of these news. It was not normal and I don't believe he was dejected or discouraged.
I agree with GA that why he has not responded to all the news about him in the media yet? Younis has openly said that he cannot kickout Malik and Misbah.
I was watciing Nadia Khan show last noght where she invited Shahid Afridi. Afirdi suggested that the management should give rest to Malik and Misbah for a while and try some new players.
Groupings within a Pakistan team is not something new and the way thing are going it looks like we do have a problem.
