Wahab Riaz to Smith, OUT, and another batsman holes out to a short ball. Riaz drops this short, and Smith goes for the pull. He looks to clear the ropes at deep backward square leg. Mistake. He was a touch late on the shot and ended up getting a bit of top edge. It gave Taufeeq Umar on the boundary a chance to run across and steady himself under it as it arced into his hands. Smith is disgusted with himself. End of a good innings, but he would have wanted a big hundred

Yousuf ruled out of Test series
Mohammad Yousuf has been ruled out of the Test series against South Africa after picking up a recurrence of an old groin injury moments before the toss of the first match in Dubai. He requires at least two weeks to recover and will fly home but no replacement has been named.
