Re: Pak v SA - 3rd ODI

3 left arm seamers in a side doesnot happen quite often

Re: Pak v SA - 3rd ODI

Wow. 88 in 48 balls.

This one is for you, Pyare Waleed:

"Be Afridi,
be very Afridi".

Re: Pak v SA - 3rd ODI

yes but Wahab gave away runs at an average which is probably the highest

Record record hota hay chahay acha ho ya bura :@:

Re: Pak v SA - 3rd ODI

Nice effort by Pakistan :lajawab: They fought like fighters and Afridi :hbk: . InshaAllah they will win next match but as i always says that our bowler should do some magical spells then our batsman will win for us. Drop catch of Amla costs us a lot and there was a tuff chance in same over of Wahab Riaz. Anyway lose or win part of game. We should learn from our mistakes and now i think we should give chance to UA & Imran Farhat. Jimmy is nice player but he should get some rest now.

Twitter went crazy during Afridi's knock. Everyone seemed glad to see him performing. Some comments from international cricketers were hilarious

Afridi’s nickname is ‘BOOM BOOM’ in honour of his 6-hitting talents - probably why he’s my favourite batsman to watch.

Just switched TV on and watching Afridi going off against Sth Africa at the Wanderers !!!

Re: Pak v SA - 3rd ODI

Waleed, we miss you. Come back. KK not the same without you.

Re: Pak v SA - 3rd ODI

I am not too disappointed as Pakistan did put up a brave fight … and some wonderful batting by Afridi

I was right

Actually at 120 odd for 4, I didn’t think that Pakistan would even make 250 and stopped watching the game

For once we were badly let down by the bowlers. They started well - SA **were just 26 for 1 after 10 overs **- but then the wheels fell off

Re: Pak v SA - 3rd ODI

Wahab is hit the deck kind of bowler but like Rana (Naveed) uncle, he can also be very expensive at times

It's probably harsh to judge him after just one game (after God knows how many months) but I would persist with Gul

Re: Pak v SA - 3rd ODI

sixes count:

This game: Pak 12 (Afridi 7), SA 7

overall (3 games): Pak 21 SA 9

Re: Pak v SA - 3rd ODI

^ based on the outcome, sixes don't count.

End troll.

Re: Pak v SA - 3rd ODI

The series is still alive

Re: Pak v SA - 3rd ODI

The sixes stat actually proves my point about strike rotation. That's where we need to improve i.e. milking singles and doubles

Misbah's dismissal was a bit unfortunate

UA needs to come back in the side. Gul will probably be back as well (Irfan apparently has an upset stomach)

Re: Pak v SA - 3rd ODI

Younis Out..UA In...

if irfan is unfit..then gul will be back

Re: Pak v SA - 3rd ODI

Fittay mun performance by Wahab Riaz, excellent performance by Shahid Afridi.

I wonder if threat by Iqbal Qasim is working? :hmmm:
