What is Ahmad Shahzad still doing in the team. He has absolutely zero talent.
Same goes for Hafeez. Once in a while he scores a few runs, but most of the time he doesnt get past 20 or so.
Seems like Pakistan batting has lost a sense of urgency in the first power play or so. They are playing as if to "survive" 20 overs.
I dont know what is the batting coach doing. Batting has been in a constant state of decline in last 10 years or so. Late 90's, early 2000's, Pakistan always had a 50/50 chances of chasing scores around 260-280 in odi. Now anything above 225 seems like a impossible battle for them.
I think Afridi needs to promote himself back to opener in T20. What T20 needs is an explosive start. There is no sense in Afridi coming in at number 7, with only 2-3 overs left. I would rather have him hit a quickfire 20-25 odd runs at the start, rather then at end of innings, because towards the end of innings, runs usually do come by easy regardless of who is at crease.
Sarfraz should open with Hafeez and Malik should be used at one down position and Rizwan should be included in middle order. So in place of Shahzad, Sohaib and Wahab we can have Anwer, Saad, and Yamin.

Um.. I beg to differ. If you have noticed Sarfraz doesnt seem to be that in control right now as we can see from last two games. I wish he would be the same as in worldcup but he isnt. But yes with 8 batsmen to score in 20 overs, there gotto be some fireworks.

Pakistan are likely to bring in all-rounder Anwar Ali in place of the out-of-sorts Sohaib Maqsood, while Sarfraz Ahmed can be promoted up the order to Maqsood’s position at number three.

Don't expect much when you got dot-ball specialists like Hafeez, Shahzad, Maqsood, etc in the team, or even the world t20.
Talent of Akmal is also useless.
