On the other hand, UAE pitches were made so docile that many Pakistani batsmen whose average was below 40 in first class matches as well as test matches, have pushed their averages above 40, what in my opinion is min average of a batman to keep place in test cricket for a length of time. Before present team, only handful of Pakistani batsmen who retired with average above 40 ... and certainly there handful of Pakistani batsmen whose average was over 40 in first class matches as well as test.

These are the only batsmen who have test batting average above 40. Asad Shafiq joined them. Before present team, Pakistan only had 10 batsmen with average above 40 (who played 10 inning or over). Surprisingly, in present ream we have 6 (and one not playing due to probably nepotism/discrimination, as he has highest first class average of any past and present Pakistani batsmen).
In present team, there are 5 .. plus 1 just joined (Asad Shafiq) plus one who is left (Fawad). Anyhow, before set of series, there were 2 … that is Misbah and Yunus … (plus one left out, that is Fawad)
