I wish Aamer had scored his 50 but oh well... congrats to Farthat for his luck-ful 100, now we will be seeing him for another 10-15 matches.
I expect Damaad to throw away his wicket any second now... not that he hasn't been trying hard all along to do just that.
we're going to be stuck with this character for a while now... awesome!

I would've called it a fighting century if he was not so lucky with his aerial/edgy/flashy shots.
It wasnt a fighting century, rather a lucky one. I mean, he flashed and missed, edge over slips, over gully, near gully. But it was meant to be today for him. Yousuf edge once and went straight to slips. Wasnt his lucky day but was Farhat's day. In all these years, he hasnt learned so I am wondering if he will do the same against the Aussies.

I have no reason to believe that he'll change...but deep down inside, there's a naive part of me hoping he'll learn for the all important Aussie series.
One thing Farhat has done well today is not being tempted by the hook shot. He has been ducking on most of these deliveres, knowing his weakness. I think Pak has worked on this in the nets.

What an ugly shot! Lucky is just dropped 2 inches in front of gully.
59.6 Southee to Imran Farhat, no run, did that drop short of Guptill at gully? it was a short ball, Farhat looked to crack it through the off, could only find Guptill, think it landed short of the fielder

Kaneria’s majical inning comes to an end, with that Pak’s horror-full 1st inning is over at 223 runs. Can you believe our opener is not out in a test match 1st inning?
