Re: Pak V NZ 2nd Test.

Well, we can differ in how a team should approach. I remember similar situation when Mushtaq as captain sent young Miandad and I think Asif Iqbal one down (probably against India) to make quick runs, giving Pakistan a very unlikely victory.

Re: Pak V NZ 2nd Test.

Amazing bwoling by Kiwi's spinner especially against Shaun Masoud.

Re: Pak V NZ 2nd Test.

Six by Shan

Re: Pak V NZ 2nd Test.

In the end i would love to see Pakistan for sure, but i don't like to see them loosing...

a six from Shan Masood... Pakistan 59/1.. if they carry on like this... pressure would go back to NZs and that would hurt them mentally

Re: Pak V NZ 2nd Test.

The Pitch was not the same and Miandad from the start of carreer was a legend, Asif and Miandad was the best runner and there was nothing in that pitch like this pitch. Pakistan had plenty wickets in hand. I have seen the highlights of that match.

Re: Pak V NZ 2nd Test.

202 off 50 0vers.

safety first must be the priority.

get to 150 by Tea without losing wickets and than launch for a win with Sarfraz coming up the order if so required.

Re: Pak V NZ 2nd Test.

Both batsmen playing sensibly. Taking no risk. Kiwis's bowling and fielding both are excellent today. Ball is moving dangerouly especially for Shaun its very tough time.

Direct hit

Re: Pak V NZ 2nd Test.

In my opinion, the best Captain Pakistan has ever seen … let see, how Mushtaq handled the situation against India chasing target even when Pakistan was one up and just needed draw to win the series.

Great Pakistan cricket captains (and then some) - Blogs - DAWN.COM

Mushtaq was recalled as captain for India’s tour of Pakistan in late 1978. The series was won by Pakistan 2-0. In the third Test in Karachi, Pakistan was set a seemingly impossible target of chasing 164 runs in 25 overs on the fifth day.

Though one-up in the series, Mushtaq refused to close shop and decided that his team would attempt to win the Test. He promoted Asif Iqbal to open the batting with Majid Khan. He then sent in young Javed Mianad after Majid fell early.

Re: Pak V NZ 2nd Test.

he is safe. long way to go. 200 needed

Re: Pak V NZ 2nd Test.

Another 6 by Shaun. Terrific batting, a true test opener should like this. Waiting for the lose ball and then struck. impressive shot.

Re: Pak V NZ 2nd Test.

Good to see that Azhar Ali out on 24 (74)...he was consuming the deliveries anyways

Craig to Azhar Ali, OUT, oh no! Azhar Ali has whacked this low full toss straight into the hands of Neesham at cover. He is distraught after playing that shot! Could have hit it anywhere. What a blow, out of nowhere

Re: Pak V NZ 2nd Test.

Bhai, kuch tou khiyal karo. I am not partial never would like to be. Have you not seen my post supporting captaincy of Misbah and his place in team? He is not from Karachi, is he?

What I wrote is what happened. Iss may Karachi ka kiya taluq hay. Later in my next post (#250](http://www.paklinks.com/gs/cricketnama/649701-pak-v-nz-2nd-test-post10194848.html#post10194848)), I also gave reference to what I wrote what happened.

Just imagine, Azhar consumed 74 balls for his 24. Is that what a team wants when chasing 261 runs in 72 overs?

I would have preferred if Azhar had made 20 runs in 35 balls and got out, instead of he making 24 runs in 74 balls and getting out.
