Re: Pak V NZ - 2nd ODI - Sharjah
Another 15 Overs.Pakistan can easily 120 Runs
Re: Pak V NZ - 2nd ODI - Sharjah
Pak 197/6 off 40.0 overs...see whether Pakistan could make another 70 runs from the remaining 10 overs... :D
Re: Pak V NZ - 2nd ODI - Sharjah
Already 7 gone. Difficult for them to cope for 50 overs
Re: Pak V NZ - 2nd ODI - Sharjah
Welcome back and agree with you. Absolutely no reason to keep those two out. Sohaib I think is injured but not playing Umar Akmal is criminal.
Thanks Ehsan bhai. Trying to cope as best I can. don't have the same passion for cricket anymore but will try to visit as often as I can.
Batting does not inspire much confidence. If they are struggling to score 250 on these placid UAE tracks, they would almost certainly do badly in Australia. Maqsood is injured but there is no justification for playing either Asad or Younis ahead of Umar Akmal.
Younis Khan may be a very good test batsman but he was never more than mediocre to decent in ODIs. He struggles to rotate the strike. ODI is a different format. The demands & tempo of the game are very different. Emotional fans and PCB just fail to get this. PCB fell for Younis's inclusion in ODI due to pressure from fans and media following his brilliant batting displays in tests against Australia. I'm surprised Moin Khan and Waqar Younis don't get it either. Asad Shafiq and Younis Khan are more suited to test cricket.
Re: Pak V NZ - 2nd ODI - Sharjah
248/8 in 48 overs.Seems to be good enough.
Re: Pak V NZ - 2nd ODI - Sharjah
Sarfraz is gone.
Re: Pak V NZ - 2nd ODI - Sharjah
252 all out. So they cud not play 50 over in sharjah. Wat abt waca Perth. Any ways they need to bowl very well. Early wickets r key.
Re: Pak V NZ - 2nd ODI - Sharjah
252 all out in 48.3. Not bad after losing 3 quick wickets early on. The bowling lineup is strong enough to be able to defend that score. Another 20 might have helped, though.
Re: Pak V NZ - 2nd ODI - Sharjah
Pakistan bowled out for 252 off 48.3 overs...was expected a bit more... :D
Target for NZ: 253
Re: Pak V NZ - 2nd ODI - Sharjah
Sarfaraz batted against his natural style. He didnt score a boundary for 23 balls and when he tried, got out. But he still did better.
Now NZ is very good in chasing. So not playing last 9 balls can really hurt Pakistan, thanks to its top order except hafeez.
Re: Pak V NZ - 2nd ODI - Sharjah
Pakistan should have scored 265-270 but given the fact they were 3 for 20, 250 is not a bad total.

One thing thats needed here albeit is keeping the run rate low so that required can go higher. Thats where batsmen try to hit and make mistakes. I'm sure it wont be that piece of cake to hit with a lot of dew.
