Re: Pak V Aus - 1st Test Match
you mean bench?
bench is pretty empty sir jee …there are hardly bastmen with batting average >40% in our first class
what do you think is the first class average of asad shafiq, azhar ali, kamran manzoor, mohd hafeez, umar amin, awais zia, sharjeel khan, ahmad shezad ?
sir jee all of them are below 40 in the first class. Shezad i think hardly touch 40..rest are all below 40…and isnt this the future of pak batting?
would u believe azhar averages only 35 and asad i think 37 in the first class ad they are our future stars…
ironically umar akmal, haris ali, fawad alam, shoaib maqsood all average >40 but you never see them in the test squad…why is fawad alam not in the test team? can someone answer this?
PD shor nay karay to kaya karay
and you look india and aussies…almost every one averages 45+ in the first class…i repeat every batsman in india and aus’s national team has a comfortable 40+ average in the first class..some have 50+
In a way I am glad you do consider domestic scene to be worthy of selection criteria :k: … I have long been supporter of picking up top batsmen from domestic performances, Fawad Alam’s exclusion is really a mystery to me.
A small list of players with ave 40+ in domestic that I could find :
Amer Sajjad 40.42 (but 33 years now), Umar Amin 38.01, Abdul Rahman Muzammil 50.73, Naved Yasin 43.26, Faisal Iqbal (urf bhanja) 40.79, Mukhtar Ahmad 69.33, Awais Zia 39.94, Faisal Mubashir 40.40, Rehan Aridi 42.78, Imran Farhat (urf daamad) 43.78, Saifullah Bangash 59.5 (but only 2 games played so far).
Above players seen performing in this tournament:
Cricket Records | Records | Quaid-e-Azam Trophy Silver League, 2014/15 | Most runs | ESPN Cricinfo
Umar Akmal has been given multiple chances but
yes…
feel pathetic considering i am a desi!
but sick of those streams with porn ads, gazallion pop ups, viruses blah blah
Glad to know that… I am able to watch it on Willow (yes, sometimes they will show non Indian games :))

good job captain but even in this list of yours, umar amin, awaiz zia who are part of current set up are below 40 … so they are not part of 40+ club
few have played very few games, so we wont count them (at least for now)
some are borderline 40…
so very few with strong 40+ and i have not heard of them mukhtar ahmad, muzammal
looks like you need to average in 30s to get selected for pakistan !!!
Re: Pak V Aus - 1st Test Match
exactly..sayapa hee sayapa hai sir jee!

by the way, from my recent research, looks like even misbah may be few years older…

That would be one more wicket, kind Captain. Last Man batting only in gulli cricket.
Re: Pak V Aus - 1st Test Match
bhai logo…having a strong batsman-Wicketkeeper is so critical in every format of the game…someone who can keep wickets with full confidence but can also bat with some consistency say with 30+ average. Srafraz has given us that balance after 49 years…at least for now.
Allaah nazar bad say bachayee…I will do a sepcial wazifa for him by standing on one leg so that he does not lose his form.

Azhar Ali is the future of Pakistani batting. Don’t know why he has been treated so shabbily. He should be the opener in one days and tests.

Re: Pak V Aus - 1st Test Match
'Yasir shah appears to be more promising than Zulfiqar baba i mean babar. 3 wickets in 16 overs, not bad. The economy rate is not too good but thats fine for test matches. Honestly the overall day-end score is kinda surprising for me. I thought it’d be all aussies the way they were batting yesterday

it would be better if you do the wazifa standing on no legs at all, “hawa mein urta jaye”

The Aussies, in their desperation, have provided lifelong Willow cricket streaming for all Pak Australia matches to one DC6.

If apa read this, she would say Wasim Bari was quite good, thank you.
Wouldn’t you, PD s apa?
Re: Pak V Aus - 1st Test Match
Azhar has been tried in ODIs, looks like the impatience of selectors played the role as he averaged ~41 in ODIs.
Re: Pak V Aus - 1st Test Match
sakar, do you know how much he averages in the first class? …35
look i like the guy but unless you are able to score at least 45+ on dead pakistani pitches in the first class, how the hell are you going to score consistently against world class attacks in different conditions…when these kids fail to perform under pressure on different pitches, we get upset. I have done a detailed analysis which will show that if you want a 40+ average in your international career, your fist class average shd be north of 46+..minimum

apa was not even born when bari quit…that is why devi apa is upset that how the hell she is my apa…she thinks PD wants to look young by calling ehr apa!..PD to janam janam ka young hai
bari was THE best keeper we ever had and probably will always be among all time top 10 keepers globally but just an OK batsman…actually less than ok.
Imtiaz ahmad was the closest ..hence 49 years
