Farjad took part in tourneys outside Pakistan and had a higher performance on a consistent basis. in the International table Tennis Federation Ratings, he had the highest ranking ever for a Pakistani. This is in the late 80's early 90's.
I had the opportunity to play with Farjad and the Arifs..Nakhuda and Khan both. Farjad is a genuine sportsman and a true Gentlman, same cant be said about arif K.
It is however troubling that new Table Tennis talent in Pakistan is so limited. People in other countries who were at the top of their game when Farjad and Arif etc were on top of theirs have since been replaced several times over by younger players and these guys have gone into coaching to bring up new players.
If older players like asim bai and farjad are still dominating pak TT scene, what is that saying about PTTF and general growth of the sport in Pakistan.

U r absolutely right, still I think it is the matter of ones own choice. Farjad is a gr8 person ..
As for younger talent. How cud talent comes when even rubbers and ballsa are not available at all at times. PTTF is doing nothing . U know the responcible for KTTA never show up in events. It is run by a single person so how cud TT improves.
The chinese coach has refused to coach paki team . he says that how cud i coach a players who r alreay playing for more then 12 yrs. also for women he told that the players r mothers of 1 n 2 so how they cud concentrate.
