I am disappointed with your reply, looks like you are justifying (even though the wink suggests otherwise) we break/not implement/not execute laws just coz the whole world is corrupt about this particular issue.
Bhai agar copy/ape hi kerna why not copy certain things/issues that we all agree are better in the west than in our own countries.
Aejaz bhai, I would not justify such an act, I highlighted a specific part of your post for a reason... the reason is that your observation was incorrect, the problem is not just in desis but others are suffering from same too. Note, I still said "problem", so I'm not condoning/approving "breaking/not implementing/not executing law".
Thats the whole point na Bhai, the thread was about Pak SC Ruling, and I replied specifically to that issue, whereas you said its rampant all over the world, to which I replied, in that case we should also try and ape other western norms that we AGREE are good.
lekin being the Diplomat that you are, its really difficult to corner you:D , again is ki reply mein bhi aap kuch diplomatic hi kahen ge.
Search it was for Captain1, so he can search the old threads where people have argued that a husband thinks that her wife is being dishonorable, he can hit her. You can do the same search on this forum if you like.
So, now tell us what proof is solid enough to hit a wife?
Quran & Sunnah tells me that my wife is not my property and must be treated with respect, love and patience. And there is no excuse to hit her regardless of any of her actions.
Now, you brought up the point that a husband needs a ‘solid’ proof before hitting his wife and then later claimed that Quran and Sunnah has that proof, so lets hear your argument.
*Nissa: 34. **Men are in charge of women, because Allah hath made the one of them to excel the other, and because they spend of their property (for the support of women). So good women are the obedient, guarding in secret that which Allah hath guarded. As for those from whom ye fear rebellion, *admonish them and banish them to beds apart, and scourge them. Then if they obey you, seek not a way against them. Lo! Allah is ever High, Exalted, Great.
Commenting on this issue, Dr. Muzammil H. Siddiqi, former President of the Islamic Society of North America, states:
"According to Quran the relationship between the husband and wife should be based on mutual love and kindness. Allah says: "And among His Signs is this, that He created for you mates from among yourselves, that ye may dwell in tranquility with them, and He has put love and mercy between your (hearts): verily in that are Signs for those who reflect." (Quran: Ar-Rum 21)
