Pak SC new rulings on Marriage

Re: Pak SC new rulings on Marriage

Captain1 Bhai,

I am disappointed with your reply, looks like you are justifying (even though the wink suggests otherwise) we break/not implement/not execute laws just coz the whole world is corrupt about this particular issue.

Bhai agar copy/ape hi kerna why not copy certain things/issues that we all agree are better in the west than in our own countries.

Re: Pak SC new rulings on Marriage

Aejaz bhai, I would not justify such an act, I highlighted a specific part of your post for a reason... the reason is that your observation was incorrect, the problem is not just in desis but others are suffering from same too. Note, I still said "problem", so I'm not condoning/approving "breaking/not implementing/not executing law".

Re: Pak SC new rulings on Marriage

Thats the whole point na Bhai, the thread was about Pak SC Ruling, and I replied specifically to that issue, whereas you said its rampant all over the world, to which I replied, in that case we should also try and ape other western norms that we AGREE are good.

lekin being the Diplomat that you are, its really difficult to corner you:D , again is ki reply mein bhi aap kuch diplomatic hi kahen ge.

Re: Pak SC new rulings on Marriage

Well, you said "search it.." so why don't you tell us since you know it and have done the research. :)

Re: Pak SC new rulings on Marriage

Search it was for Captain1, so he can search the old threads where people have argued that a husband thinks that her wife is being dishonorable, he can hit her. You can do the same search on this forum if you like.

So, now tell us what proof is solid enough to hit a wife?

Re: Pak SC new rulings on Marriage

Quran and Sunnah of the prophet Mohammad (pbuh) is solid enough for many.

Re: Pak SC new rulings on Marriage

So what does Quran and Sunnah say about beating your wife?

Re: Pak SC new rulings on Marriage

you tell me

Re: Pak SC new rulings on Marriage

Quran & Sunnah tells me that my wife is not my property and must be treated with respect, love and patience. And there is no excuse to hit her regardless of any of her actions.

Now, you brought up the point that a husband needs a ‘solid’ proof before hitting his wife and then later claimed that Quran and Sunnah has that proof, so lets hear your argument.

Re: Pak SC new rulings on Marriage

Oh great. Only on a Pakistani forum will you see people trying to justify hitting womenfolk.

Re: Pak SC new rulings on Marriage

^ PCG: in a competition of hate for Pakistan I'm sure you'll win all hands down.

Ever thought about BD, Ind, Arab Muslims could do the same as well i.e. justify hitting womenfolk? (in your own words)

Re: Pak SC new rulings on Marriage

True Captain1. I should rephrase my words.

Only on a muslim-dominated forum will you see approval for hitting womenfolk.

Re: Pak SC new rulings on Marriage

What does it dictate to your views about Islam, then?

Re: Pak SC new rulings on Marriage

Oh darling, muslims and Islam are not synonymous.

Re: Pak SC new rulings on Marriage

you are wrong.

Hypocrites and Islam are not synonym.

Muslims and islam definitely are.

Re: Pak SC new rulings on Marriage

*Nissa: 34. **Men are in charge of women, because Allah hath made the one of them to excel the other, and because they spend of their property (for the support of women). So good women are the obedient, guarding in secret that which Allah hath guarded. As for those from whom ye fear rebellion, *admonish them and banish them to beds apart, and scourge them. Then if they obey you, seek not a way against them. Lo! Allah is ever High, Exalted, Great.

Commenting on this issue, Dr. Muzammil H. Siddiqi, former President of the Islamic Society of North America, states:

"According to Quran the relationship between the husband and wife should be based on mutual love and kindness. Allah says: "And among His Signs is this, that He created for you mates from among yourselves, that ye may dwell in tranquility with them, and He has put love and mercy between your (hearts): verily in that are Signs for those who reflect." (Quran: Ar-Rum 21)

Re: Pak SC new rulings on Marriage

I still don't see where it says in Suraah Nisaa to beat the crap out of your wife?

Re: Pak SC new rulings on Marriage

It does not say such in there, neither am I quoting Quran to support such a stupid custom that is against Islam.

The words of Surah Nissa are to be taken in context.
