Re: "We wanted to kill shias with Cyanide"
All we have to follow is Quran and Hadith. Definately Quran before anything.
That is the ultimate guide to life in my view anyways, i don't know about others. :) Islam will prevail inshaAllah, with us or without us. We should seek unity as muslims, follow Quran because it's a sure thing. Everything else is interpretable and changeable (Allah forgive me if i say anything wrong).
I appreciate your humbleness. But perhaps as you are not a shia you are bias towards your sect. Also, many scholars have said many ayats in the Qu'ran are open to interpretation OR more properly put: have deeper meanings. These meanings can only be properly presented by the progeny of the prophet and not by some daari, turban wearing mullah.
May Allah forgive both u and I if we have said anything wrong, ameen.
Re: "We wanted to kill shias with Cyanide"
Ameen. I wish muslims would just unite and may Allah (SWT) guide us all to that which is best for us.
PS: I believe in no sects. I am a muslim, my guide are Quran and Hadith. Simple as that. :) Thank you for your humbleless too brotha!
Re: "We wanted to kill shias with Cyanide"
But Quran says, Allah is closer to you (each of us) than our jugular vein. If we do good deeds, worship Allah as the only one that has power overall, and Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is the last prophet, then we will be fine, inshaAllah.
So...what medium?
my previous post should answer this question.
Re: "We wanted to kill shias with Cyanide"
whoever is doing this is malicious and not fit to be called a Muslim and if this is propaganda. then the cause is an outside instigator.
and that is how that should be jointly failed by both united shai and sunni.
the responsibility on both and of course those who spread hatred must be taken to task.
best,
Dushwari

n this progeny can only be a shia rite?

well the progeny of the prophet are the imams; how about a refresher in Islam 101: Imam Ali, Imam Hussain, Imam Zain-ul-Abdeen, Imam Mohammadeen bakir, Imam Jafir Sadiq.
perhaps a read up a before indulging in religious discussions would be benificial?
Re: "We wanted to kill shias with Cyanide"
How about staying calm brother?
I believe he was being sarcastic because no one group/sect is above another in Islam. If Islam is practiced the correct way, there would be no sects, no groups, no ideologies, it's one for all, and all for one.

What I feel to be the correct way differs from yours; you revere certain companions, I don't. What is the solution to this?
Re: "We wanted to kill shias with Cyanide"
i've said it already. Quran (because no one argues on that). Hadith (because everyone believe Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) as being the last prophet and his way of living the ideal for us to follow).
It's not as complicated as our ancestors have made it out to be. And we're only carrying the differences with us. We're not really serving Islam. There were no sects at the time of beloved Prophet. Then why now?
I believe we (the muslims) have to go back to the guides that have been handed to us as genuine and ultimates guides. Quran and Hadith.
When we start to read Quran, love one another because we're all muslims regardless of our minor differences, then these differences will inshaAllah disappear and Allah will put Barakah in all our affairs.
The muslim ummah at the moment is like a bundle of sticks that's been separated and every stick is vulnerable to breaking and shattering. If we regather and become one again, we'll be strong just as we once were. And we will inshaAllah, sooner or later. The sooner the better.

Agreed 100%.
Re: "We wanted to kill shias with Cyanide"
Those are great words and pretty much generally accepted, even by the extremists that got caught. The purpose of this post was the mere fact that some people want to go extreme lengths just to state a simple thing like "we are right and you are wrong." Persecuting the shia and killing them by commiting them suicide won't do them any good. I certainly don't think Allah is proud of these actions.

Please avoid bringing any Shia vs Sunni debate in here.
Religion Forum would be the right place for any proper discussions on the subject.

Re: Pak Police foil terrorist attack on Ashura procession (merged)
What it has to do with shia and sunni ?
98% of visitors / watchers in those processions are usually non-Shia...
All kind of people do drink water and sharbat in those sabeels! Are those sabeels only for shia? Didn't know that!
Anyway, this is not The TOPIC, topic is terrorist! and instead we need to find why they wanted to do that!
Unfortunately this threads and its direction IS the success of these terrorist! THINK!

So Its all turning out the way I had expected....again we are no unity when It comes to such conflicts.
Re: Pak Police foil terrorist attack on Ashura procession (merged)
These morons want to ignite sectarian war amongst us, lets not play their game. All these suicide bombers want to kill themselves. Let us help them achieve their objective, lock them in a room and blow it up.

Oh yeah, we need to be as vocal in condemnation of such terrorists as possible.
One of the good things about suicide bombers is that it seems very self limiting... Each terrorist that kills himself is one less terrorist to worry about.
