Actually poor countries like ours need more rail networks. in india most of the interstates are empty of cars and trains are completely full. its the most preferred and affordable mode of transport by poor and middle class.

nawaz sharif built motorways which looks good but doesnt serve purpose for the price it was built. he could have invested in railroad network which could have moved a lot more people. considering the fact that pakistan has barely added any kilometers in the british built rail network.
motorways are good but it is over kill for undeveloped countries like ours.

Yeah, I completely agree with you. The current problem with railways in pakistan is that we have ghulam bilour (a drunkard) as railway minister. The interesting thing is that he has never set foot in a train ever in his life. Moreover, he has his own bus transport company so you can well imagine the conflict of interest. Therefore, he has shut down half of the trains in pakistan by showing them in loss. The ones that are left running are in such a pathetic condition that people die from floor falling for example. Brainless Gillani should pay more attention to the destruction by this man rather than inaugurate new stations.
