Coz BBC has a few correspondents in Pakistan, other news agencies do not consider Pakistan worthy of keeping any of their staff there.

Smuggling is part and parcel of our intrepid Army...and that's is why border post deployments are the most coveted...

and I agree with you che, without the complete cooperation of army and border control we wuld not have smuglging. I mean all the smuggling of drugs that those filthy afghans did in the 80's during Zia's regime, had to be blessed by the military govt of the era.

I dont know if you were in pakistan then, but the drug problem was just out of hand.

In Pakistans case when there is no one checking on military's activities, of course there will be corruption, anuone left unchecked has the opporunity to bcome corrupt. we have seen that with military, we hve seen that with politicians we have seen that with judges, and we have seen that with mullahs. it needs to stop.

we need better checks and balances.

As an addendum to the above post, I must remind the gullible awam jumping to post anything that puts their country in a bad light that BBC is the same organization which reported that there are "routine suicide bombings in Gawadar" in its report on that port. Seems they're delusioning half the time, and as far as these "UN reports" are concerned, they're based on allegations. Bring the proof, and then talk.
