The next thing you are going to deny is that there are four provinces in Pakistan and that you are not actually a senior citizen…You are one of those naive, yet profoundly ignorant old timers, ubiqutous in every mohala through out Pakistan who at every street corner are pondering over the affairs of the world and plotting the startegies to deal with each looming crisis. To call you a novice on the subject of global military affairs and trends would be a profound exaggeration. Wont happen got to many suicide mullahs in Pak. At the moment I'm against the idea as Israel is treating the palestinains like ****. The palestinains played it wrong here (namely Araft) supported India against Pak which obviously doesnt go down well with me but a lot of ppl forget. India buys a lot of military hardware from Israel and the only person who would want a realtionship is Israel another freind than foe and possabilaty of weapon sales to Pak.

Why not recognise? Afterall they have made moves to resolve their differences, and when Egypt, Turkey, China and the Palestinians have recognised the state why should we be any different.?

Pakistan must recognize Israel. I agree with the posters above that when Palestinians and the rest have recognised Israel and have allowed its embassies to operate on their lands, what stops Pakistan from doing that. Certainly, we need to start a debate on this issue in the country. Now, we don't want US attacking/bullying/eyeing us after Iran. So, some warming up to Israel might help in the long run. Besides, there have been reports of interaction between Pakistan and Israel in the past, even during Zia's days and despite the fact that Pakistan helped Jordan and arab states in their war against Israel.
All we need is to think rationally on this issue and stop associating 'honor' to every thing. I am talking more about the intangible benefits that we may get by way of this association.

people! NOBODY CARES IF PAKISTAN RECOGNIZES ISRAEL OR NOT. Pakistanis do all kinds of deals with jews including arms deals yet pretend as if it's their sworn duty as Muslims to make some gurgling noise about Israel. Either they all are too scared of each other to make a move or think making gurgling noises is speaking arabic
