yesterday, i watched it live...what a farewell to him that was better than royal send-off. it was emotionally super charged.
his speech was basic but from the depth of his heart...he speech encompassed all who came in contact with him over 25 years.
i liked the way he carried himself and the way he remembered his father who passed away in 1999 and the Manager who passed away in a car accident. i love his simplicity and down to earth demeanor.
he gave a hug to his daughter, Sara, first before he hugged his son, Arjun. he did NOT hug his wife because in India hugging your wife in public is not appreciated among the older generation.
what a great man...

It feels like just yesterday when I was watching him playing in debut series in Pakistan against Akram, Imran, and Qadir. Specially Qadir was making fun when Tendulkar hit sixes on Mushtaq's bowling then Qadir himself got same treatment. Everyone then was predicting a bright future for Tendulkar and now after 25 years every prediction was right. Thank you Sachin for providing good entertainment throughout these years.

The best batsman ever and a thorough gentleman. He carried himself well on and off the field. Never did panga with anybody. Carried India's batting in the 90s before the emergence of Ganguly, Dravid, Laxman, Sehwag. Dealt well with pressure and expectations. It would be nice though to see him appreciate Wasim and Waqar as great bowlers he has faced, maybe even Akhtar who has a great record against him. Only Sourav Ganguly has ever done that on record.

Good batsmen. He retired right on time, otherwise Ajmal would've robbed him of most of his skill.
