And the parade, any idea what time it starts...it it still on 42nd & Madison? But what time is the parade supposed to start?

yeah why they always have it at the end of august, I hate them for doing that. Last year I was in nyc in august till 22nd and the thing was after 22nd and now again. Why they have to celebrate it two weeks after the independence...huh! I wish they had it on 18 or 19....huh! :(

^ I think its the damn injuns that have booked it for the first weekend after 14/15th august. As long as I can remember, it has always been like this. Indians get the first weekend and Pakis do it the 2nd weekend.

Its been a few years since I went to Aug 14th parade, for out of towners it seems exciting especially if you live in rural areas. I stopped going cuz there's wayy too much poondi going on :D and not to mention the stupid fights guys get into over there.

Thats pretty much the reason why I stopped going. And I think past few years, there was always something else to be done those parade weekends. This year I am thinking of going, so my hubby can see it, he hasn't seen the parade since he has been here. Last year I was pregnant and didn't wanna go in all that rush. As for the poondi, I can't stand those guys, wanna slap em silly. They have no shame, even do stupid bathmeez comments even if your with family and ignoring them as best as u can...GRRR@@@@
