Re: Pak Cricket Academy vs BD Cricket Academy
Not that Bangla are bad but lagta hai ab nobat yahan tuk aa gayee hai ke we Pakistanis are taking such a keen interest in how our academy team is doing against Bongalis
Bhai saahib, we need 2 openers, 2 middle order batsmen, at least one more FAST bowler and wicket keeper spot is also up for grabs and most of those players are leikly to be chosen from these teams so there is every reason to be interested in these games???
We are likely to see Khurram Manzoor, Fawad Alam, Anwar Ali and Najaf Shah wearing Pak colours in next year or two for sure.

Pakistan Academy lift the trophy
Pakistan Academy lifted the Tri-nation Academy one-say series after beating their Bangladeshi counterpart by 5 runs in the thrilling final at BKSP today (Monday).
Skipper Mehrab Hossain and Kamrul Hasan put together 51 runs for the last wicket partnership to give the home side a slender chance after their sudden collapse in the middle overs. But Mehrab (75) ran himself out in the second last ball of the penultimate over as Bangladesh Academy were bundled out for 232.
Chasing 238 to win, the home side were in commanding position at one stage as they reached on 112/2 in the 20th over. Opener Junaed Siddique was in his devastating best, hammering 69 off 63 with the help of eleven glorious boundaries and an over boundary. He added 75 runs with Rakibul Hasan (33) in the third wicket partnership.
Bold headed right arm pacer Junaed Zia removed these two in successive overs. Junaed Siddique’s mistimed pull found the mid-on fielder while Rakibul was castled by Zia’s in-swinger. Mehrab Hossain and Nadif Chowdhury stuck together for a while but the skipper must take blame for the later one’s unnecessary run out. Bangladesh were 149/5 in the 31st over.
This wicket triggered a collapse for Bangladesh Academy as they lost five wickets in space of eight overs. The home side suddenly turned into 181/9 in the 39th over. Mehrab put a valiant effort in the last wicket partnership but finally fell short of just 5 runs. He clubbed seven boundaries for 87 balls 75.
Earlier in the day, Pakistan Academy made a great start after put into bat first. Afaq Alam and Khalid Latif shared 92 runs opening stand in just 19.4 overs. Afaq was the top scorer with 55 (62 balls; 4x11) while Khalid made 31.
But there were no real partnerships after that as the visiting side were bowled out in the last ball of the innings for 237. Off spinner Mahamudullah Riad grabbed five wickets while Mehrab took four with his left arm spin.
“We were pretty satisfied with our bowling effort. It was not an uphill task to chase 237 in that wicket. But our batsmen could not show enough patience in the middle. Three run out did not help our cause too.”—said dejected Bangladesh Academy skipper Mehrab Hossain.
He was adjudged Man of the Final and Man of the Series for his superb all round performance. But that could not prove a consolation for Mehrab, “I would be rather happy to lift the trophy.”
Coach Allister De Brown is pleased though, “I am quite happy because we reached the final. We should have chased down that modest total today but the lack of application of our batsmen once again let us down.”
His Pakistani counterpart Aaqib Javed was overjoyed with this success. “My boys showed their character throughout the tournament. They deserved this trophy.” **
**Triumphant captain Fawad Alam was also delighted, “I can not express my happiness. It is one of the biggest achievements of my cricketing career so far.”
