Pak Cricket Academy vs BD Cricket Academy

Re: Pak Cricket Academy vs BD Cricket Academy

^ theek heay TL....My concern is of Aaqib not being a complete cricketing coach, rather being a specialist in bowling himself. So I would rather have Whatmore or some other like him.
Our team burries the coach any way..so
matee paoo...
yeh loh candy....:LB:

Re: Pak Cricket Academy vs BD Cricket Academy

You only go this route when you know you've lost the reasoning! :D
Anyways, I hope they make a sane decision and the coach becomes part of a "strong" team management that can atleast help Pakistan stay where they are right now...

Re: Pak Cricket Academy vs BD Cricket Academy

Naheen yaar…I just am not in the mood for :bukbuk:
too much arguing is not good…otherise I could argue till the cows come home (from where ever they are right now)
like we are not in control of decisions any way…
its jsut our opnions right..?

Re: Pak Cricket Academy vs BD Cricket Academy

Indeed …

I wish we hadn’t removed Waqar as the bowling coach to begin with :naraz:

Re: Pak Cricket Academy vs BD Cricket Academy

^ur right, but I dounbt, how much he would have impacted at length, I mean we all saw his bickering after wards...

Re: Pak Cricket Academy vs BD Cricket Academy

I am not saying its either or else fault but the bickering will hatch out if you dont treat a superstar and still serving the country, he is in demand especially from Down-Under, they don’t actually need him but to cover all bases; Lillie and Waqar  the next generation of aussies bowler will surely be one heck of lethal pace battery. I hope they can stall back waqar and reinstate him (academy / with the team).

Re: Pak Cricket Academy vs BD Cricket Academy

I would have hoped for it as well but since the chariman's resignation was not accepted but he superior ... I don't see him coming back at all! coz remember it was the choora chairman himself who took that decision single handedly ...

Pakistan Academy level the series

Visiting Pakistan Academy leveled the two match four-day series against Bangladesh Academy after thrashing the home side inside three days by an innings and 22 runs in the second and final match at Narayanganj Osmani Stadium today (Tuesday).

Resuming on 401/6, Pakistan Academy added 78 more runs for the last four wickets in the third day morning. Adnan Raza remained unbeaten on 89. For the home side, spinners shared all ten wickets with left armer Mosharraf Hossain grabbed six wickets while another left arm spinner Mehrab Hossain and off spinner Mahmudullah Riad took two wickets apiece.

Bangladesh Academy batsmen then continued their dismal show and finally bundled out for 214 in their second innings. Rakibul Hasan was the only exception who struck his second half-century of the match. The middle order batsman fought a lonely battle in the second innings with his classy 79 off 94 balls that included 12 glorious boundaries.
Off spinner Atif Maqbool was the most successful bowler for the touring side with 5/56 while left arm pacer Najaf Shah scalped four wickets for 63 runs.

Re: Pak Cricket Academy vs BD Cricket Academy

Pak Aca and BD Aca reached into the final
28-April-2007

Bangladesh Academy reached into the final of the Tri-nation Academy tournament courtesy of their better run rate than Sri Lanka Academy.

In the last league match of the tournament Pakistan Academy outplayed their Sri Lankan counterpart by 88 runs in D/L method at Fatulla today (Saturday). As a result the three participating teams were equal in points after the round robin league. Each team have won two and lost the other two matches but Pakistan and Bangladesh Academy get the nudge ahead of the Sri Lankan side because of their superior run rate.

Pakistan Academy finished on top with +0.84 net run rate while Bangladesh side followed them with -0.371. The unlucky Sri Lanka Academy finished with -0.379 net run rate.

In today’s match at Fatulla Pakistan Academy made 251/6 in 46 overs when the rain came down heavily. They could not restart their innings as Sri Lanka Academy set to chase 255 in 46 overs in D/L method.

Skipper Fawad Alam hit a steady 56 (70 balls; 4x3, 6x2) for Pakistan Academy but it was wicketkeeper Sarfaraz Ahmed whose quick-fire unbeaten 53 off 35 balls (4x8) helped them to push over 250 run marks. Koulasekera grabbed three wickets for the Sri Lankan side.

In reply Sri Lanka Academy were never in the match as they lost wickets in regular intervals and finally bundled out for 166 in 38.4 overs. Bithana was the top scorer for them with 68 (107 balls; 4x5). Anwar Ali took five wickets while Nazaf Shah got two for Pakistan Academy.

The final of the tournament between Bangladesh Academy and Pakistan Academy will take place at Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium on Monday.

Re: Pak Cricket Academy vs BD Cricket Academy

Interesting comments by BD Aca skipper…

Both sides are upbeat

There were not much differences between the three participating teams of the Tri-nation Academy Tournament. You can find it in the point table too. Each team have won two and lost the other two matches in the round robin league. Only the superior run rate pushed Pakistan and Bangladesh Academy into the final ahead of their Sri Lankan counterpart.

Pakistan Academy finished on top with +0.84 net run rate while Bangladesh side followed them with -0.371. The unlucky Sri Lanka Academy were marginally behind with -0.379 net run rate.

On the eve of tomorrow’s final at BKSP, both the Bangladesh and Pakistan camp sounds optimistic. The two teams know each other well as they played a two match four-day series prior of the Tri-nation tournament.

**“Pakistan Academy are not an outstanding side. Their bowling is pretty ordinary although they have a quality pacer in Najaf Shah. If we can handle him, I think we have a good chance of making a big score in the final”—**said Mehrab Hossain, the skipper of Bangladesh Academy.

He was not also impressed with their opponent’s batting, “Most of their batsmen are stroke-player. They tend to score quickly but at the same time they give away too many chances.”

Mehrab was quite pleased with his own team’s form, “I am really optimistic about winning the trophy. At the moment we are playing well. The only concern is our top order. They did not deliver yet as expected. I hope that they will do that in the final.” Mehrab continued, “Our bowlers, especially the spinners are doing a splendid job in the tournament. I certainly believe that tomorrow they will make the difference once again.”

Bangladesh Academy will play with the spin-trio of Mehrab Hossain, Mahamudulla Riad and Enamul Haq. The last one came into the side because of Mosharraf Hossain’s injury.

The Pakistan Academy have no such injury problem. They will field their best possible eleven and their captain Fawad Alam is hopeful of putting a good show in the final, “We will try our best to win the title. We have played terrific cricket in the last league match against Sri Lanka. I hope that the team will repeat that performance against Bangladesh in tomorrow’s final.”

Fawad rated Bangladesh Academy as a good side, “No doubt that they are a formidable team. But our’s team is also balanced. We have a good bowling attack which is well led by Nazaf Shah. All the batsmen, including me, contributed well in the tournament. If the two teams can play to their potential, I think it will be a very competitive final.”

Re: Pak Cricket Academy vs BD Cricket Academy

^ Is it the same kind of confidence that BD showed for its National team or
is it realistic this time....
I mean, it would be hard to believe that the Pakistan team is as bad as he is putting it to be.

Re: Pak Cricket Academy vs BD Cricket Academy

Pak Aca just managed to win the trophy by 5 runs. Well done boys!
Najaf Shah has been the star of the series for Pak.

Re: Pak Cricket Academy vs BD Cricket Academy

Great job by the boys...always nice to win a final, no matter what the opposition. Najaf Shah is a real find - left arm pacers are hard to come by and if he continues to improve, he can be a real force with the likes of Asif, Gul, etc.

Khurram Manzoor,Khalid Latif,Fawad Alam and Sarfraz Ahmed deserve their call ups to the camp and they should be on the plane to Abu Dhabi in a few weeks time.

I'd also like to see Mohammad Irshad...he's pretty quick...not as fast as Shoaib but close to Sami's pace...and he should definately be in the equation.

Re: Pak Cricket Academy vs BD Cricket Academy

Not that Bangla are bad but lagta hai ab nobat yahan tuk aa gayee hai ke we Pakistanis are taking such a keen interest in how our academy team is doing against Bongalis
