firstly, though there is a correlation, this should not be used as an economic barometer. pakistan’s economy is stronger than it was last year.
secondly, a lower ranking than last year doesn’t mean that doing business in pakistan is more difficult than it was last year. it means that other countries reformed more in the past year than pakistan did.

ease of doing business means nothing to a country if nobody wants to do business with it.
