Not bad. You had the right idea but I do have to say that it was too busy. I think you put too much fruit in it; more than what was needed. When I used to make collages, my goal would be to balance everything in it without having a border. Like I usually use Triangle shape (i.e. 3 objects of each category in triangular shape). This usually balances them out.
There are some light colored objects in there (lemon, flower, etc) and that is what the eye sees first. So if this was not your intention, try to balance out the colors so that eye is not in one place and sees all of the balanced things. Other than that, not bad. 6 hours?
Try painting a white color against let's say Yellow and see if you can notice the white one. Now try painting the same white against darker (maybe black) background and you will know what I mean.
Lighter colors shows the best against darker color and darker color shows the best against lighter background :)

There is no criteria that it has to be pretty or right color combinations etc.. in todays free form of Art.. The only criteria is that if it comes straight from ur heart.. it will communicate with others... the lies that come out of a paint brush are evident on the canvas.. and are uglier than spoke words..
Put away all conventional ideas that u have set in mind about drawing and then let yourself say what it wants to say.. both in drawing or writing.. try it and u will be amazed..
