People who live a very simply and “desified” lifestyle? Depends on what sense its used in. My sister uses the word paindu to describe some dresses.

On GS, I think its mostly used for FOBs (a term I learned on GS too).

Paindu: Of or having to do with not being in touch with current values, ideas, concepts, fashion trends, dialects, etc. etc. Also used to denote freshiness of a villager in a city.
