Re: Paindo kapre?

hmm sumthing which i may call paindoo may not be paindoo for another person. i have recently seen a lot of people wearing horrible paindoo clothes and they appear to be proud of themselves! for example, people wearing threads and motifs sorta clothes would get them tailored in a paindoo way. just cos the embroidery on their clothes has three colors, they would put pipings in three colors too! urghh! sum lawn printed suits i saw at gul ahmeds are also horrible. and ashiana has 90% horrible printed crepe suits! too much going on in them!!

And wearing jogger boot! ( i would call em sneakers, but they call em jogger boot)

Re: Paindo kapre?

Hey!!!!! I like those little mirrors. They are part of the cultural clothing. Very sindhi type clothes have sheesha work on them. I have those shalwar kameez etc but I wear them only on eid etc coz they are heavy in kaam. They do not look paindu, it is just getting in touch with your roots and culture.

Re: Paindo kapre?

^ just a light hearted thread :) i'm all for people having "paki pride" (especially people born abroad), its always good to have everything in balance. we shouldn't forget or abandon our roots.

Re: Paindo kapre?

stupid color combination, shorts shirts with ttiiiiigghhht shelwar and pyncha, wearing jogger with sari(i saw this), jhil mil tops and jeans

Yh but FYI these kinds of clothes are very popular back home as well in Pakistan. Definitely we shouldn't forget our roots and I am not one to do so.
