A woman without her man is nothing.
Tauba tauba, so sexist!!!
Let’s see how you change it with punctuation, so that it sounds reverse-sexist.
And what is the deal with the word “contumely?” WHy is it not an adverb?
A woman without her man is nothing.

Re: Paging Grammartards
HUh? i didnt say that.
Lajjo, not quite right. Try again.
Kukar, i said punctuation, not syntax.
Re: Paging Grammartards
Woman: Without her, man is nothing.
Woman, without her man, is nothing.
Nothing to see... move on...
Re: Paging Grammartards

Re: Paging Grammartards

Re: Paging Grammartards
Woman: Without her man, is nothing…
Re: Paging Grammartards
I beg to differ, a woman without her man is single and available ![]()
Re: Paging Grammartards
^^^ i have my doubts about plan man...he seems
FAR TOO WAKED AWIDE to be fasting
the infidel
Re: Paging Grammartards
Woman, without her man, is nothing : Isnt that more sexist?
You are quite close with the first one, though.
Lajjo: if you take out “without her,” your sentence reads,
“A woman, , man is nothing” does not flow.
Re: Paging Grammartards
^^
I thought the sentence was supposed to remain the same without removing or adding words...
Re: Paging Grammartards
A woman without food is nothing...
A man without a woman is everything... :)
Re: Paging Grammartards
I tried to look up the meaning of word AWIDE and it didn’t give me any ![]()
Why are you playing around with big belly boys who are fasting?
Re: Paging Grammartards
lajjo, here is an example.
Commas are sometimes used to seperate or set of expressions that interrupt the flow of a SENTENCE.
For. e.g.,
Mt Big, who was big, ate a big sandwich. If i take out the "who was big," the sentence "Mr Big ate a sandwich" should still GRAMMATICALLY make sense. In your case it doesn't:)
Re: Paging Grammartards
Give up grammar tards?
Re: Paging Grammartards
colon indicates conversation, right?. Why would anyone speak in a third person POV?
Bu you are close.
