PAF Pilots of 1965 War

Re: PAF Pilots of 1965 War

Really Mr. Aeronautical Engineer Malhot? Then please pray tell which Russian airplane is the JF-17 a copy of? The MIG 299? How about the J-10? Is that a copy of the SU41.546?

As for the pilot being as good as the plane he flies…well maybe in the IAF that may be the case, but allow me to enlighten you about the time during 1971 when an F-6 (a chinese copy of the MIG 19) of the PAF shot down the newer more sophisticated and much faster MIG 21 of the IAF. Also look up the names Saiful Azam and Sattar Alvi and you will know that they shot down much superior Israeli aircraft while flying for Syria and Jordan/Iraq respectively during the Arab Israeli wars.

Re: PAF Pilots of 1965 War

uhh no. A person flying a so-so plane with execellent flying skills will do better than a so-so pilot flying an excellent plane. Ill admit that Pakistan Army is a complete mess, but PAF is not. PAF has only top notch pilots who without a doubt are some of the best in the world. Why do you think malhot, if India has more superior planes than PAF, that PAF pilots have always had a better track record.

Re: PAF Pilots of 1965 War

The discussions on this board are by real pilots (PAF & USAF), not like most Paks who think with their hearts - claiming Pak pilots ’ the best in the world???

Re: PAF Pilots of 1965 War

F104 was also a pure interceptor quite useless in highspeed subsonic dogfights that occured in 65 and 71
its main use was a "terror " weapon in 71 it suffered when faced by fishbeds in numbers
B-57 was not a "huge bomber" similar to the canberras of IAF and indians had probably 4 times as many
