and US doesn't really need to rigg these planes with any kill switch. Once they determine we're not much of any further use, sanctions would be slapped immediately, stopping all supplies for spare parts, bringing these planes down any way.

In 90s PAF had to cannibalized 2-3 F16s in order to supply parts to keep the remaining F16s in the minimal flying worthy conditions.

However, this time around dynamics of the situation work in Pakistan's favor because these fighters can be pit against JF17 and used as a measuring tool. Sanctions or not, any/everything on here can be gutted and learned from if U.S. violates the contract and slaps on sanctions.

you have a political right to do these deals, but muslims have a genuine and written in Quranpak right to call you non-muslim for doing (supporting) these deals.

you see this is the crux of the problem in pakistan, the state has gone on a route which is expressedly banned in the Quranpak and most of the people know this. thats why there is silence from many and no shortage of would be attackers

To start with, this F-16 deal was important for us as Pakistanis and Muslims for the following reasons:

  1. The F-16 Block 52+ will give an insight to the technology the same way that F-16 Block 15 OCU gave back in 1980's and helped Pakistan and China develop JF-17 and in a way J-10(the entire fuselage seems same).

  1. The F-16 Block 52+ is the latest on modern technology that PAF has on its hands, which will directly influence the later models of JF-17 and FC-20, in avionics ,JHMCS,DFRM,etc.

Not many muslim countries have made their own aircrafts, a high tech fighter already present in the fleet can provide good information, experience and insight into making JF-17 a deadly machine.

Everything cant be enabled as technology from bochures.

  1. PAF wanted 500 AIM-120C5, the best in BVR missiles. This is part of 5.1 Billion USD deal. This is the largest order of AIM120 ever put. These Missiles will not only be used on F-16 Block 52+ but also on F-16 MLU, and just like PAF integrated Aim-9 WVR missile on F-7 P/PG(upgraded derivative of Mig-21) and even F-6 (upgraded derivative of Mig-19), PAF would also use AIM120C5 on JF-17 when it gets a western radar (Italian or French etc) on later models. Maybe a western AESA radar on FC-20 may enable it to use AIm120C5 also. To ensure the package of AIM120 is also approved, F-16 order was necessary.

AMRAAMs (AIM120) is not used to shoot down TTP "kites" but enemy' advanced aircrafts.

Do google online what else is PAF getting in the 5.1 USD package.

  1. The orders for F-16 block 52+ were cut from 75 to 55 to just 18 (with an option of 18 more), because PAF wanted:

a. Stop gap measure till JF-17 is fully matured for BVR combat (Currently JF-17 is equipped in a squadron whose basic role is bombing and A-2-G operations)

b. A deterrent to IAF:
A pair of F-16 Block 52+ patrolling Pakistani Airspace, armed with AIM-120 C5 and with AWACS support will not let SU30MKI or Mig29 or Mirage2000 think of even taking on such lethal birds.

c. Ensure less aircraft are grounded, if sanctions are put and black market has high rates for spares, while the dividends are rich as explained in points 1-3.

  1. The block 52+ is armed with the latest sensor pods for Air-2-Ground operations., which means they can be optimised for SEAD roles with JSOW weapons(google and part of 5.1 Bil USD deal).

This also means once used in operations against TTP , the civilian causalities will reduce drastically also reducing destruction of infrastructure.

  1. USA made sure PAF doesnt get access to any modern technology. PAF was interested in SAAB Gripen, but USA got the deal blocked.

  2. PAF have already evaluated EF-2000 and Rafale but the price tags are high plus costs for the infrastructure, support , training etc( and less numbers affordable) are not feasible.
    PAF has pilots, support, maintenance, infrastructure and experience for F-16 already. Saves time and money.

Secondly, The main focus of PAF for high end tech fighter is FC-20, numbers maybe increased from 40 to 150 (speculated and rumours).So investing in a new aircraft wouldnt have been wise.

In the end, its NOT me who made the deal, its the PAF, so go and ask PAF about the questions you have asked me.

You neglected to mention that Pak fauj keeps quiet about drone attack bcos their real masters which is PLA, want tacitly the attacks to continue due to their own problems in Xinjiang.

I know it has been a very valueable indian tactic for more than a decade to cause disunity between Pakistanis (In this case between common Pakistani people & the army) through creating misunderstandings & hogwash bollysh!tt!sh stories. That is one of the many tactics indian terrorists have used to turn Pakistani people against the army of their own country. The army which fought 3 wars to keep the common Pakistani people safe from an enemy which has now turned the very same Pakistani public against the very same army. Ofcourse, to achieve that objective, they first successfully created anti American / anti west feelings in the stupid Pakistani people. They (as always) exploited them through bollysh!t stories that ‘west’ is their real enemy. india achieved various objectives through this manipulation of stupid Pakistani people which include but are not limited to:

  1. Gaining strength* in their own fight, struggles & *desperate obsessive desires* to over power the western people & western culture with their own suffocating bhindian culture*. Actually, they really hate the west a lot & are desperate to impose their own culture on them. So, they exploited Pakistani people to believe that west was their enemy. Hence, this way, they gained strength for their own fight against the west.
  2. Created hate on the both sides. Between the west & the Pakistani people. You know, the same ‘divide & conquer rule they always play.

How successfully Indians have spread this hate on both the sides. And they are still not satisfied. They continue to spread hate amongst the Pakistani communities inside & outside of Pakistan. One example. Indians talking ill of Pak army. But the level of stupidity of our Pakistani people is we can see that they have quite much achieved that objective too as every other Pakistani seems to hate the army too. The same army which saved Pakistan from being recaptured by this most corrupt nation again after a bloody struggle for independence.

I mean, really enough is enough. It is about time that Pakistani people wake up from those bullsh!t fantasies which indian terrorists have fed their stupid brains. indians are nobody’s friends. Pakistanis need to wake up. A Pakistani should ask himself one question. Would he feel ‘safe’ & treated fairly in the west or in india…… by any other nation on this planet or by indian nation? This is the most terror infested nation which only spreads hate & division between all the people / communities of the world.
