Masroor Airbase (ICAO: OPMR) is PAF Airbase located in Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan. It is named in the honour of former Base Commander Masroor Air Commodore Masroor Hussain—he died in his aircraft when it crashed following a collision with a bird. Before that it was called Mauripur Airbase.
Masroor base has the distinction of not only being the largest base, area wise, in Pakistan but also in Asia. It is of immense strategic importance considering it has been entrusted upon the task of defending the coastal and Southern region of Pakistan. It houses the 32 Tactical Attack (TA)Wing which comprises of four separate squadrons.
