Re: Packing my Jahaiz
What do you mean by good ideas to pack? Are you going to be showing them to the family? At both my wedding and my sister's our stuff was packed in either boxes or suitcases since we were moving to other states. It was nothing fancy at all.
For clothes, i wrapped the kaam walay kapray in individual plastic bags/covers avalible when you buy them in Pak. For shoes, i stuffed them with the stuff that makes them retain their shape (the cardboardstuff or crumpled paper) and covered each shoe in plastic bags (the way they came from the shop mostly). I had a lot of shoes so it would have been impractical to keep boxes for all of them. Hand bags were also packed in a box.
We only did this way because we werent "showing" anything to anyone so going rudimentary worked for us. Make sure you label the boxes as to which one has what stuff.
Re: Packing my Jahaiz
I'm not sure what you mean, but each of my outfits was wrapped in matching cotton kapra with ajrak and gota accents. It's a nice touch. And the clothes are still kept in them in my trunk. Good to keep them preserved.

ooo thats cute^^
U can get such pretty boxes from Paper Market in Karachi.. wrap the clothes in colored tissue paper, place them in those fancy boxes! I attach small dried flower arrangements onto rubber bands and place them over the top lid too.
Re: Packing my Jahaiz
My mom, MIL, khalas, phuppos, chachis, mumanis, nani, etc took care of all of this stuff; I'm not sure!

even i was not sure, what she meant really....
cz therez one like u mention the simple packing in the suitcases..where u just take ur stuff to in-laws and open it as needed.
And the other fancy packing, with flowers, ribbons, kapra etc... Things u show to ur relatives..
Anyway, glad she got the answer...
