I have booked the campground at Sushwap lake, Porpoise Bay and Green Pointe at Pacific Rim on Vancouver Island. I am so stoked it is unbelievable. I am conditioning like crazy to have the strength and endurance to do the hiking and enjoy the trip. Mrs wants to come along also, hopefully, she conditions to hike with me. We will tour Whistler, Uclulet, Tofino etc. I had been dreaming about this forever.
Trip sounds excellent and very scenic. Approximately how much hiking will you be doing a day?
We sometimes do up to 15 to 20k if it is an elevation then you need lots of conditioning, the views from the top and the hikes are unbelievable. You can never see those sites just driving on roads.
And here is a lovely pic of Tofino from the net, the countdown to June 15th. haven’t booked anything for the return leg. maybe a night in Victoria and one at lake Louise.
It looks amazing. That is a lot of hiking! I was looking at Havasupai Falls in Indian reservation....not too far from Vegas. It is also very beautiful but the hike is too much. If I ever did it, I would break it down into 2 -3 days

So how long is that hike? I feel that people who don't hike miss out so much as there is a lot more out there beyond the roads. My wife is working out regularly also so I am hoping we both will be in good shape for it. I did 15k yesterday and wasn't overly tired.
It is about 10 miles or more but the heat is brutal. And to really enjoy the falls it seems summer is besy. You must carry water and everything else in. Which again isn’t too bad, but I would take at least 2 days with my kids. I like the idea of using pack mules, however reading conflicting reports on the treatment of mules so would rather opt out.

That seems so awesome, you are right, it seems 2 days is the best, would you camp at the campground? How old are your kids? We did many hikes with our kids.
