How damaging is it? The real one. Not the fake one.
I accidently ate the real one this time instead of the sweet one, worst thing I have ever eaten. Ever.
Why do so many eat that junk?

Re: Paan
My dadi put tobacco in her paan. I called her a pothead and my mom slapped the back of my head.

Re: Paan
i only eat paans like once in a year and that too the sweet one
the tobacco one is very dangerous can cause u mouth cancer
Re: Paan
Why do people it?! I always wonder if its addictive…it tasted so vile.
The sweet ones are nice, dus rupee kay aik ![]()
Re: Paan
Paan should be banned in Pakistan in public places I think along with cigarrettes.
Anyhow, Paan does not seem to have any addictive chemical in it but it causes slaiva to build up which makes people think their mouth is being cleaned of germs.
People do not chew paan without something in it. it has coconut powder and Gulqand (sweet rose petals), many other silly colored items. With tobacco it is addictive.
It is chaalia (beetle nut) which causes mouth and esophagus cancer. I think they add something addictive to Supaari packets.
In west people chew tobacco also like niswaar. They do spit also. It comes in similar round metal box.

Do they? Never heard of it ![]()
Re: Paan
Yes the niswaar (dip) is not so uncommon in some areas. Many people carry a cup with a lid on it and spit in it.
