I think that this is stretching the bounds of permissibility. What you stated is what scholars recommend for disposing of interest income, such as when it is impossible to securely store your money in a bank without receiving contaminated interest.

Owning a business that deals in the haraam is different. You do have a choice in what manner of franchise to buy, what manner of business to run.

You maybe right. I was just wondering that if just a small portion of that business is haram, does that make the whole business haraam!
