That’s not true. A luteal phase can range anywhere from 10-16 days and it’s perfectly normal and does not indicate ovulation issues. Lots of women have a luteal phase of only 10-11 days and go on to have healthy pregnancies. But a luteal phase should not change and is constant for every woman give or take a day or two.

it depends on the medical professional you speak to. some doctors consider a luteal phase defect if your LP is less than 12 days, others consider it less than 10.
