How many days after ovulation should your period arrive?
I usually have a 33 day cycle and used to ovulate around 18th or 19th day of the cycle, but this month i was ovulating on the 22nd day…so im thinking i wont have a 33 day cycle…
I’ve heard your periods arrive 14 days after ovulation-is that correct??
^ your luteal phase is on average 13-15 days. any less or more and you are likely having ovulation issues and should see a doctor. even if your ovulation is delayed, the length your luteal phase doesn't change, so even if your ovulation delayed to day 22,* if* your luteal phase is 14 days, then your period will arrive 14 days from the 23rd day of your cycle. do you know if your luteal phase is normally 14 days?
have you been tracking your cycles? if you can post your start and end dates, we can probably help you figure out your luteal phase/when you ovulate if we assume yours is 14 days, for eg.
hmmm, i am tracking my cycles...was ill in dec so i had my periods late-on the 41st day of my cycle as opposed to a 33 day cycle...and im always regular...
so had them last on the 30th of Dec and according to a 33 day cycle, i was due yday....I was apparently ovulating on the 22nd day according to my ovulation kit...

That's not true. A luteal phase can range anywhere from 10-16 days and it's perfectly normal and does not indicate ovulation issues. Lots of women have a luteal phase of only 10-11 days and go on to have healthy pregnancies. But a luteal phase should not change and is constant for every woman give or take a day or two.
hmmm, i usually ovulate on 18th or 19th day of cycle and always start on 33rd or 34th day of cycle..so seems like I have a 15 day luteal phase....hmmmm...so tthis would mean that my cycle this time should be a 36 or 37 day cycle coz I ovulated on the 22nd day....god so wierd!

it depends on the medical professional you speak to. some doctors consider a luteal phase defect if your LP is less than 12 days, others consider it less than 10.
