America is well ahead in providing long distance education and awarding degrees. England is about to follow suit, at a larger level.
This may be a major finance friendly option for many students abroad. Question is, if you were offered online degree courses in Universities abroad, would you take them? or would you still prefer to travel abroad and attend classes the traditional way?

With the passage of time online education is becoming popular. The pros of online studies is that you can study at your leisure, be in your home and get a foreign degree. Cons that you will miss out on the good old west, which is the main reason why people want to study abroad. Plus secondly I think studying in a physical university is better as compared to online one.

As the resources in education sector specially universities are draining up, I think providing online distant education is their best bet for business. In Europe students are already fed up with high fees and there r no jobs so universities here r venturing off shore like in far east, east Asia and some even in Pakistan. But at present of course, traditional teaching in most of the areas of study is better than online learning. However, online learning can be beneficial in the areas where there are inadequate teachers like in villages in Pakistan.

Imagining how it will be to study online, you have to be really determined towards studies. I don't think it is for my type of person. I dislike it since you have to stay home and learn it,boring. It will be same as work from home!
