Re: overseas Pakistanis...

In Pakistan, everyone, including your relatives, friends, connections... they think of you as a jack pot and try to get maximum out of you.. best way to deal with them is treat them like servants and never ever pay them anything....this is what i do with them.. i have started my business and here and all of my relatives wanted a job or two for their brother or son.. just interview them in front of them and declare them highly unskilled or person who knows nothing and tell your relatives that your child sibling is good for nothing.. i cannot afford such person in my business...

2ndly and most importantly, try to be independent... ask them tough questions all the time and always try to be friends with high ups... let your friends and foes know that you are highly connected... remember... they will use you.. so you use them before they do.. that is only way forward...

Re: overseas Pakistanis...

There is more to it, this stort have too many loop holes, i mean 30% of sales is not documented then what about the purchases, how come he was not reported about loosing inventory for 3 years by his 80% non pakistani employees? ..i dont know about the profit margins in US but loosing 30% of sales and not posting losses is beyond me... And that for 3 years...

Re: overseas Pakistanis...

I am sure there are people that have had tough luck in Pakistan but it's not like all OS Pakistanis had similar experience, over the years we owned four different homes, no one did qabza, we sold them off, I owned two plots that I sold off last year and got more profit than I could get in any other country.

One r of my friends house was qabzafied, and another friend who is a police officer got it vacated without any bribe or gift.

Re: overseas Pakistanis...

Just came back from khi. My wife's Id lost so I went to police station. Duty officer ask me very politely to sit down n give copy. I gave n in 5 min I got the fir. When I ask the fee he told 200 rs .
I was surprised that how our police changed.
Unfortunately after 7 days my wallet I believe fell down or may be taken.
Went to the same station same time same officer. He told me to come after some time. Another visit n same. In the 3rd visit he started asking questions about where u work n how much is my salary. I just acted like a very simple person who donto hAve aNY iDea at all. At the end he told me that I shall go to court n bring efidavit. I pretend as if I m leaving than he told it will take too much time so pay 7000 rs n no need for efidavit n I can get fir instantly.
What happened next is another story..

Re: overseas Pakistanis...

The whole story is very fishy. I 'successful' businessman cannot let this happen for 3 days, let alone 3 years.
