Well just want to know that 30th June 2019 was the last date to keep your bank account activate by submitting a form to your bank in Pakistan. Which means the bank account holder will be exempted from bio-metric finger print till he visit Pakistan.
So any NRP knows about it?

**Karachi: Deadline for biometric verification of bank accounts would expire today (Sunday). **
Bank accounts of the customers who fail to get their biometric verification done today would be blocked and they would not able to carry out transactions.
According to reports, between 60 and 80 percent accounts in different banks have been transferred to biometric system.
Quoting a National Bank spokesman, Geo News reported almost three million bank account have been registered in the biometric system.
The State Bank of Pakistan has directed banks not to block bank accounts of customers who have failed to get their biometric verification done before the deadline ends.
Last week, the State Bank had stopped the banks from blocking accounts before expiry of deadline which is June 30, 2019.
The statement was issued after complaints surfaced that some banks have temporarily blocked accounts and ATM cards until the biometric verification is done.

کراچی: اسٹیٹ بینک آف پاکستان کی جانب سے بینک اکاؤنٹس کی بائیو میٹرک تصدیق کے آخری دن تمام بینکس چھٹی کے روز بھی معمول کے مطابق امور سرانجام دے رہے ہیں۔
تفصیلات کے مطابق اسٹیٹ بینک آف پاکستان کی جانب سے بینک اکاؤنٹ رکھنے والے صارفین کو بائیو میٹرک تصدیق کرنے کے لیے ایک ماہ قبل پیغامات ارسال کیے گئے اور تمام بینکوں کو بھی ہدایت کی گئی کہ وہ صارفین کو بلا کر فنگر پرنٹس سے شناختی تصدیق کریں۔
بینک اکاؤنٹس کی بائیو میٹرک کی تصدیق کا آج آخری دن ہے، صارفین کو سہولت فراہم کرنے کے لیے اسٹیٹ بینک کی ہدایت پر تمام بینکس اتوار کے روز بھی پانچ بجے تک کام میں مصروف ہیں۔

اکاؤنٹ کی بائیو میٹرک تصدیق نہ کرانے والا صارف بینک سے کوئی ٹرانزیکشن نہیں کرسکے گا، صارفین کے پاس آج پانچ بجے تک کا وقت ہے۔ ذرائع کے مطابق بائیومیٹرک نظام پر منتقل ہونے کی شرح 70سے80فیصد ہے، نیشنل بینک میں 30 لاکھ سے زائد اکاؤنٹس بائیومیٹرک پر آگئے۔
اسٹیٹ بینک آف پاکستان کے مطابق بائیومیٹرک نظام پرمنتقلی کی حتمی تعداد 30 جون کے بعد پتہ چلے گی۔ یاد رہے کہ بائیو میٹرک تصدیق کا اہم مقصد غیر قانونی اور بے نامی ٹرانزیکشنز کے ساتھ منی لانڈرنگ کی کی روک تھام ہے۔

this is highway robbery to block accounts of ordinary overseas pakistanis.
Dumb policy of IK, just stupid. Now people will stress out and this will cause ripple effects. What if they need access to funds right away and its blocked ?
He can’t recover looted money but sure can inconvenience the overseas ordinary people bigtime
