After a few days of writing down everything I eat, it turns out on average I eat about 2100-2600 calories a day.
I know this is a very high number…and hte average is 2000, depending on one’s activity level.
These days my activity level is low to moderate since I am not able to exercise. I desperately need to lose weight because I believe this will alleviate some of the pain. Also I am diabetic and losing a little bit will help that as well.
Someone told me i have to cut it down to 1200-1500 or less, but that sounds so drastic. Do I really need to decrease it that much, especially all at once? Or can I start by cutting it down little by little?
I think I have a fairly decent diet. I eat whole wheat bread rather than white. I try to eat fruits and vegetables. But it seems my weakness is fried foods. and chips. and sometimes candy, which I know is a big NO. But especially my large portions.
It just seems really really difficult, especially since I cannot exercise to offset any extra calories i consume.
