For breakfast, I always prefer eating oatmeal with bananas and walnuts along with a cup of green tea. I have it in a fine, moderate amount without binge eating, but when it comes down to lunch, I can’t control myself. I start with a half whole wheat roti and chicken curry (saalan). Then, I eat the toriyan with spoon and after that, I have a plate of brown whole wheat pasta. To top it off, I finish off my lunch with a plate of assorted cut fruit and a cup of green tea. Then comes the time when I feel as if my stomach will burst because it’s THAT full. At times, I feel like puking too. My mom says it’s fine because I ate all the healthy stuff (I’m quite sure they’re not healthy) but I can’t help it and I start feeling bad about eating lunch. Because of all the overeating during lunch, I have to eat raw fruits or raw vegetables (like carrots) for dinner. How can I even control this stupid habit of mine?
Re: Overeating during lunch?
I don't know much about the dieting/losing weight stuff, but I can tell you that the reason you are stuffing yourself at lunch is because you are not eating enough at breakfast. If I have what you ready for breakfast, I will be hungry at 10:30
Re: Overeating during lunch?
You are so accurate! I do get hungry at 10:30. I'll try eating more during breakfast then. Hopefully it'll work! fingers-crossed
Re: Overeating during lunch?
and eat some protein with breakfast to keep u full longer.
It is ok to get hungry around 10:30, just eat a light snack (a fruit, nuts, etc). This way you won't overeat at lunch. I have found it recently I feel full faster when I eat vegetables with my meals.
Re: Overeating during lunch?
A colleague of mine eats mltiple small meals during the day. No idea if that is a preferred approach.
A gentleman upthread suggested a more sumptuous breakfast. He is probably correct.
