India is such a diverse country. Every state language changes, so does culture, dress and food. It is sad that Bollywood represents only the Punjabi culture.
Most of the heros are Malhotras, Kapoor, Dhawan’s . Every wedding is shown as a big fat Punjabi wedding. Bollywood should reflect regional sensibility. Movies like ‘English Vinglish’, Aiyyaa’, Agneepath are now showing other cultures.
It was good to see Bengali culture represented in Kahaani, Barfi, Parineeta.
Are there any other movies that represent other cultures. Nikaah, Bazaar was Hyderbadi Muslim culture

Re: Overdose of Punjabi culture
Even the food sold outside India is truly not India. Mostly Punjabi dishes. There is no regional variety in Indian food in restaurants.

Re: Overdose of Punjabi culture
yaar, punjabi culture is more suited to bollywood. .loud, boisterous and action packed. . .other cultures are too subtle to be deemed bollywood friendly. .thankfully audiences are changing and hence the break from the regular. .jst my 2 cents. .
