Salam bro,
First, let me ask, are you following the hanbali madhab?
The hadith you are quoting, in fact the site you are quoting, most salafis follow this, why? Because it’s convenient for them. The site also mentions that if Eid falls on a Friday, the Jumaah salaat is not obligatory.. That was the view of Imam Ahmad. BUT keep this in mind, Imam Ahmad was a scholar, a scientist, he understood deen more than we as a group ever will. On this point, scholars mention that the time of Prophet (pbuh), the villagers and people from out of city used to come for Eid prayer, that is why the Prophet(pbuh) used to say to THOSE people tha if you wish you can leave or stay and listen to the khutbah. Same thing for the hadith about jummah coinciding with eid day, since it is not wajib on the villagers …he prophet(pbuh) said if you wish to leave, then leave, jummah is not wajib on you..
also
Usman (radiallanhu) said..
‘Whomsoever from amongst the villagers wishes to wait for Jummu’ah, then he may do so and whomsoever wishes to return then I have granted him permission.’ (Muwatta pg.165)
Anyways, the point is, if we start picking and choosing from our deen, then we will no diffrent than those christians and jews who took what they liked, what they found convinient…and what happened? They have lost touch with Allah and His deen!!
Bro, this last bit was not directed at you but to myself first and to the rest of brothers n sisters..
