Sometimes, some books get a lot of praise and publicity, but you personally don't find them such appealing.
Obviously, Its all about 'Pasand apni apni', but again, you got points and point of view against such books.
Share names of such books, you didn't find as appealing, as captivating, as engaging as mentioned in review.
I start with Abdullah Hussain's 'Udaas Naslen', which also got translated in English as 'The Weary Generations'. Some people say that its the best novel in Urdu. I find it quite boring and no where near around Qurat ulain Haider's 'Aag ka Darya' or Bano Qudsia's 'Raja Gidh'.
i agreed on udaas nasleiN...mustansar hussain taaRar's books are also in the same category IMO (minus travelogues)....
