Over 30 Taliban men sneak into J&K

Re: Over 30 Taliban men sneak into J&K

Bravo .........Lets see if Indian troops can match these warriors from the mighty HINDOKUSH MOUNTAINS

kia piddy aur kia piddy ka shorba

In India's case, the terrorists come from across the border (Pak). In Pak's case, most of them originate from within Pak. Add to it the fact that element within Pak establishment openly & covertly support these terrorists.

So obviously different rules apply to the two countries.

Re: Over 30 Taliban men sneak into J&K

So who makes the judgement call though?

I know what you're saying, but Pakistan too (just like India) claims they cross over from Afghanistan, and it is impossible to man the entire border. doesn't that make it Afghanistan's fault, just as you're claiming it's Pakistan's fault this happened that they slipped through, despite Indian armed forces being in kashmir valley and that too in huge numbers?

when the law of terrain can apply to one nation (which i do realize is the world's favorite at the moment), then why can't the same logic be applied to another nation which has the same problem with a much bigger border, with more rugged terrain to deal with?

Re: Over 30 Taliban men sneak into J&K

^ I am sure a lot of them cross over from across the border, but a good chunk are home bred :p Would you not agree ?

I see your point though about the Pak-Afghan border being tough to man, and the fact that these guys have local support only makes it more difficult.

relax my troll brother. i wasn't speaking to you. my friend Punjabee has answered my question.

If your information is correct then Indian army is already sitting in Hindukush Mountains ....... :)

What rubbish??? After posting you should read your post yourself and see if it makes any sense.
Americans want Pakistan to stop talibans crossing Pak-Afghan border to destabilize Afghanistan.Pak-Afghan border is 2000km long and hence it's not easy to stop cross border movement. Indian forces need to protect less than half of that and you think it's too difficult for them but then blaming Pakistan for not doing enough.

guys we need to see it from different angle..
now God forbid if anything happens in India these thirty would be blamed and there may come a reason for india to send troops to afghanistan on put pressure on pakistan.

this is really funny how can taliban went into kashmir all by themselves and had addresses of lashkar where as it seems lashkar guys werent aware of it as one of them told them to through them out..

i dont mean to make fun of india but this does sound fishy to me, i mean since when we are ready to belive everything that is fed to us by media...

If they really are terrorists as claimed by media, i hope they get killed sooner than later. These misguided idiots cause a lot of damage and they deserve to be killed before they go on and kill innocent people.

i hope they are killed/captured..
i see so much trouble ahead in the region specially after hallbroke/mullen visit they are snubbed here probably and it seems pakistan has lost patience with US and this can be the reason why Gen Majeed went to Saudi Arabia and was greeted at such a high level from his body language he went with a message /serious call for help..

dirty games would be played , everybody would try to undermine otherside.

expect something Big this summer and if we cant flush them taliban within this year/summer then it would become a real danger to us...

Re: Over 30 Taliban men sneak into J&K

Oh dear it seems that the "Indian consulates" in afghanistan issued visas to these Talibans to cross into Pakistan and spread the good will there, but it seems they have now decide to have vacation in Kashmir as well. A very RAW deal for the Indians. (Pun intended)

Re: Over 30 Taliban men sneak into J&K

Are you saying all 700,000 troops are covering LOC? :hehe:

By snow? For how many days of year? Pak-Afghan border gets closed for many days of the year too.

That is okay, mine some parts, ‘monitor’ some parts, fence some parts while ‘guard’ some parts. Billions are being spent on army’s upkeep, millions spent on drone attacks. It wouldn’t take that much to close the borders.

That is just bullcrap. When one side of “common family” runs over to the other side of border and given refuge by their “common family” it is both US and Afghans who cry “Pakistan providing safe haven”.

Re: Over 30 Taliban men sneak into J&K

Nope, most are deployed inside Kashmir but there are enough to choke off any route into Kashmir.

Not as much since the snowy parts are in the north and the 2,000km border runs through deserts in balochistan.

We tried mining but the Pashtuns rose up against it.

Our monitors will get killed and its pointless to fence since the infiltrators can easily cut it. Guarding a 2,000km border is pointless.

It will take multi-billion dollars and a united effort to close the border which will not happen as people still have dual loyalties..

Thats because the Afghans never accepted the durrand line as the border.

Re: Over 30 Taliban men sneak into J&K

Don't forget the main difference.

The Pak government wants the Pak-Afghan border to be as open as possible to let certain types of "militants" go back and forth.

Re: Over 30 Taliban men sneak into J&K

^ Pak govt also wants the India-Pak border to be more open (less militarized) to allow certain types of "militants" to go back & forth :p

Indian Army chief disputes NDTV's claim of Taliban presence in India...

================================================================

New Delhi Army Chief General Deepak Kapoor on Tuesday said there is no "trace" of Taliban in the country amid reports some of these elements have infiltrated but women are being "trained" on the other side of the Line of Control(LoC) to cross over for terror acts.

Gen Kapoor also said the army would continue to "neutralise" elements trying to disturb peace and security in the country.
"Whether it is LeT, JeM or HUJI militant or Taliban, whosoever tries to disturb peace and stability of the region, he will be dealt with in the same fashion and will be neutralised," he told reporters.
Asked about reports that some 30 Taliban have infiltrated into India, Kapoor said, "As far as the Indian Army is concerned, we have had no trace of Taliban."
Asked about the possibility of involvement of women handlers in the Pulwama encounter in Jammu and Kashmir that ended on Monday with the killing of two militants, Gen Kapoor said, "We have information that women are being trained on the other side to infiltrate into Jammu and Kashmir."
"It is possible that women may be involved in giving directions to the terrorists," he added.
Kapoor said that Army was "fully prepared" to deal with the situation if there was any information about infiltration of women in the country.
The General said the Army had expected "calibration" in infiltration around the election time.
"We did expect that there would be a certain amount of calibration from the other side to push in infiltrators because of elections, which is what they are trying," Gen Kapoor said.
Kapoor said the Army had "foreseen" the rise in the infiltration of militants and was prepared to tackle it.
"We had already foreseen all this happening and we were quite well prepared for it and that is why our troops were there on the Line of Control and deployed in three tiers to be able to check infiltration," he said. "We are quite confident that we will be able to meet this situation and are quite sure that people will be able to exercise their franchise in a peaceful and stable environment as had happened for assembly elections," Kapoor added.
