Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Video is great but song is absolutely amazing! I didn’t like the song when it was first released. Many years later I was listening to it and something clicked. It was originally written by Prince.

My opinion: it probably isnt very islamic putting pictures but then i get a feeling that sometimes we get a kick out of some failing or error of a practising muslim to justify preaching isnt worth it. Just because he posted a picture doesnt mean everything he says is rubbish. Beside in pointing out his mistake is your intention to follow islam or to shut his 'preaching'? That wouldnt be very islamic either.

People please.... lajawab - the only person in GS who i want to both hug tightly and kick at the same time - is a thorn sometimes and needs a bit of poking in the ribs to remind him he is human.... stop thinking it was a personal attack... it was a tease.... if this goes on, it will be blown out of proportion and that would be a shame..... everyone has been teased at one point or another.... laja is a big boy and life will continue for him pretty much the same way after this.....

Now.... I would say that most of these posts are examples of people spending far too much time on GS :D you addicts you :D

I was only in grade five when it was released so obviously I couldn’t relate to what she was singing. I only heard the lyrics again a few years ago and it is such a lovely song … totally makes me cry. I know about Prince, he apparently wanted to beat her up after the song came out cause she got all the fame for it.

I would recommend Lajj 'O Conner to stop preaching if he can’t walk the talk. But that’s just my recommendation :slight_smile:

If you are not a namazi and you hear Azzan then don’t tell your friend to go pray. Quran and prophet both talk in great details about Munafiqeen.
I despise the arrogance of muslims who are dodgy themselves yet they preach like they own the religion.

I had that urge to go all bald last November when I was (as usual) bored with my last haircut. Went to a salon & changed my mind the last minutes after watching the hair dresser’s face expressions & her compelling me not to do it. Then I asked to look at some shortest cuts from their magazines and chose the shortest Pixie. She and some other girls still told me not to. I told them to just shut up and do it. They did as told. I was very happy and felt ‘liberated’. But watching people’s expression outside the salon made me a little unsure. So then I started covering my head most of the times also because the winter arrived.

Now they’ve grown upto 1-2 inches or so I think. I’ll get them trimmed again end of this month but only from the back and sides. Enjoying them for now.
