I’am contemplating getting something of this sort cut-wise &without heavy kaam made for Eid, would it look good in real life-(I’m 5’6 and slim). Also any idea about the fabrics used, is it satin bcoz it does seem like it. And how does one wear a dupatta with this(my mum will never let me go about dupatta-less). Any more pics of these kind of outfits?

Re: Outfit Pattern-Yay or Nay?
it looks pretty good zeph, especially outfit number 1..wt r u planning fr d botton?pant ya churidaar?
n i think,if u wear the dupatta on one side,it'll look good :)
Re: Outfit Pattern-Yay or Nay?
nice outfit, but not particualy fond of the plain satin type material she is wearing underneath. Just brings the outfit down a notch.
As for the dupatta, you can drape it around your back and arms, like a stole.
Re: Outfit Pattern-Yay or Nay?
AA I want the bottom to be the same i.e parallel pants, its only that my tailor was stumped when I told him I want parallel pants :p
Outfit Pattern-Yay or Nay?
How about a sharara of some sort? Without too much flair. I saw someone wearing something like this just like this last week and I was like is it trouser/lengha/sharara. Was Sooo confused. Looked super elegant. Had to ask her in the end and it was a two legged pant, straight leg, officially a sharara but because it didn't have the 'ghair' it was in between. Make sense! And the dupatta works, looks bad without IMO, just make a light one. Also instead of satin try georgette?
Outfit Pattern-Yay or Nay?

thats called dhaka pajama! its IN with the formals!
Re: Outfit Pattern-Yay or Nay?
^How wide are dhaka pajamas supposed to be? Would really like to know in inches, thanks.
Re: Outfit Pattern-Yay or Nay?
zephyrus… u’ll find a lot anamika khanna outfits tht have this type of cut as well.
Your tailor probably got stumped coz no one India wears pants. Although on one my the blogs that I follow of these two girls from Bombay they did mention that Pak styles pants are catching up. I personally love chooridaar. Hate pants or the loose shalwar as well.
Re: Outfit Pattern-Yay or Nay?
^thanks payal!! the pics are soo helpfull!!
I really looove the pant trend, it adds such a a chic touch to the usual shalwar-kameez pattern! I’ve been meaning to get those pakistani ‘ijaar-pants’ made but could’nt find good pics of the waist n hips part as that is wht my tailor is having problem understanding :bummer:
I got a pic of palazzo pants and showed it to him and he said he understood so I gave him an ordinary unsticthed suit(not for eid), lets see wht he does with it..
@Aaliyah1-thanks for the suggestion, will think about it.![]()
